“We have always loved Food Lion.We used to have one in our neighborhood in East York, PA and we miss it.They always had the best and freshest produce, meats, and their own Food Lion products and frozen vegetables, in my opinion are better than the brand names. We right now are in the Outer Banks and did some grocery shopping to take things home we can't get up our way anymore, because they moved out of PA. I wish you were still there!”

“A+ produce! Had the best cantaloupe ever, the tomatoes were amazing, and the owner hooked us up with some "imperfect" limes. We will definitely be back next year ?”

“THE PIES ARE AMAZING!!! ? the owners we rented from left us one apple, one peach, and one rhubarb pie from this place and we ended up going back twice during our week there. The staff are very kind as well- one time when they were sold out of pies they gave us a few frozen pies to bake ourselves and even gave us the glaze and sugar for the top! Amazing”

“Just popped in to buy reusable Food Lion OBX bags for family. They are nice looking and picture on the outside of bag which will bring back memories of your trip there!!”

“For 14 years, the Stop & Shop has been my second stop upon arriving at OBX (first is 7-11 for a Slurpee) The badge of honor (a window sticker for my jeep) is a must-have every time I arrive there! This year, I got a new pair of slides, several packs of saltwater taffy, some deli meat, some incense, and a few seashells! They sell just about anything you would need to hit the beach in style (including fishing gear) and most of what you'd need for your hotel or cottage to eat well...This store is located in the heart of the Outer Banks and a must-visit whether you are a seasoned beach-goer or new to the scene! They also offer many products made in the Outer Banks and those products are labeled as such.”

“My family and I were here two years ago, and I must say that was very much impressed with the politeness of the staff, as well as the cleanliness of the store all throughout, we didn't make it to Publix, but hopefully we'll get a chance to do that soon visiting family this summer in Newport News, VA. Please keep up the good work!”

“This little market has all of the essentials that you forgot to pack for your beach house. It is a godsend considering the closest larger grocery stores are a bit of a drive away. If there's something that you forgot to pack (soap, detergent, ingredients), this place will have it .They even have some ready-made meals and a pastry area. Seriously this place has everything that you could possibly need to make it at least a night (if not the rest of your stay) until you get to a full service grocery store the next day.”

“This is always a super friendly store where everyone is willing to stop what they are doing to help you find the one little item that you need. The store is immaculately clean. Today, the minute you walked in, you could smell how clean it was. The aisles are organized and neat, and once again, the workers are the best.I go out of my way to shop at this Powells point store”

“I did a pic of at Publix today and they had Blue cherry Gatorade which I have not been able to find anywhere for months literally this product has been scarce for the last year. Very happy to find this item and on sale for a little over $6 for a eight pack!”

“Very pleasant experience! I got me a pickle ? I got me some sour straws? I got me some exotic lifesavers? a treat I haven’t found anywhere else! They have a wonderful array of frosty flavors and all kinds of delectable treats! Very pleasant cashier, rung me up and didn’t complain when I had to count out my exact change of 8.42 cents! It took me a while but he accepted with a smile! Bars. One star deducted for this flabbergasting price for these oddly shaped and rather off putting chicken salad sandwiches :/. also where are the kangaroos? Circle K? Kangaroo express? Huhhhhh?”

“Holy bananas their bacon cheeseburgers are out of this world! Chicken is amazing as well but we definitely snuck back down there without the kids for another one before we left to go home! Ladies that work there are gems too. It may be unassuming on the outside but it’s 100% worth the gander inside!”

“Can’t believe the string of negative reviews on this site ! They sound like typical tourists angry about anything less than white glove treatment . Staff here is ALWAYS friendly with fast service at the best price.”

“I've been a Debbie Downer on Walmart in past reviews I admit. I've been to this Walmart several times in the past several since opening over15 years ago. There have been ups and downs and I just never wrote a review. I've seen them consistently stronger over the past year and they also are completing a renovation. It looks much better. My most recent visit was for a yummy poor man's frozen pizza for a golf party at the beach house. Let me explain further. Red Barron make one of the best frozen pizzas in my opinion. So by adding your own toppings you can hype your frozen pizza that runs around $5 per at Walmart. Feed 6-8 with three Red Barron Cheese pizza. Add Hormel pepperoni or turkey pepperoni. Add other items like sliced anchovies. Six pack of beer is a must. Dress your pizzas out and place in the oven per directions adding an add few minutes. For $31 (w/ beer) for all you will have the best store bought poor man's frozen pizza of your life. Self checkout smooth and friendly with assistance to check DL due to alcohol sales. A bit of a summary over the years at 3.5 rounding up with a super recent.”

“Well stocked. Some offers. I have found better prices and better quality of products in other stores and supermarkets in the area, however, it offers the advantage of having a great variety in one place. The service is good.”
