They have renovated and made the golf private - and expensive!!! Our room was ok, nothing special. The bathroom is very tiny - no room to turn around. However, the shower is nice with lots of water pressure. The golf course is much nicer than it was but again, VERY pricey. I'm afraid we won't be returning, as much as we love the town of Waynesville.

The Grill @ The Waynesville Inn & Golf is a great place to have dinner after a round of golf or during an overnight stay! The starters were unique and, most importantly, delicious! We ordered several appetizers to share...Chicharrones & Buffalo Dip, Pub Pretzel, and Korean Chicken Wings. Our shareable dinners and sides included the *Waynesville Burger, French Dip, and the kids macaroni & cheese dinner. We finished our evening with the Basque Cheesecake. Beautiful view, great weather, attentive servers, and a lovely meal.

I should have done a little more research before booking this location. I thought we were reserving a room at picture they have advertised, but this location is currently being renovated. Our room was just up the road (within a short walking distrance of the club).*PROS: beautiful view of the moutains and golf course (our section of the course was closed for renovations), quiet area away from the hustle & bustle, plenty of parking, rooms are simple & partially renovated.*CONS: overpriced, AC DOES NOT WORK!!! (We called the front desk resolve and they sent someone immediately. Although maintenance said he had fixed the issue, our air never went below 75; we had to open the balcony doors in the morning to get cooler air.)Would recommend this location if the price was more reasonable.Rooms: AC does not work. Partially renovated. Beds are comfortable. TV, mini fridge, and microwave provided.

If I could've given zero stars I would've. DO NOT BOOK. This is not a country club nor a resort. There's a reason you can't modify your reservation after checking in. I have stayed at nicer Motel 6- and I'm in the "newly renovated" portion. Couldn't even grab a beer -from the cooler full of beer- because they "don't have a way to charge it yet". First room I was assigned had toilet deconstructed and bits of insulation and dirt all over the bathroom. Walked two parking lots back to the main office, in the dark, and got assigned second room. If it wasn't so late at night I would've found another hotel. Please do not stay here, especially if you are a woman at night. What a horrible experience. And I get to wake up early, check out (I am NOT staying another night- originally had the rest of week booked) and go to work. After I remove the chair from under the door that opens to the sidewalk. Does that sound like a country club to you???Water in shower was lukewarm, door to bathroom was swollen in place/ so wouldn't open or close (mold behind door). The frosted glass door that opens to the sidewalk had bright big attracting lights that lit up the room like daytime all night. Piece de resistance- lawn people started weed whacking RIGHT OUTSIDE MY CHAIR BLOCKED DOOR at 0630 after zero hours of sleep in the Bates motel.

Beef overcooked.. pork dry. Very disappointing because it’s always been one of our favorite Mexican restaurant in Waynesville. Maybe they were having a bad night or an off night. The service was nice

Beautiful Golf courses. Very well maintained. I visit this area often. I do residential cleaning and laundry (Waynesville NC house cleaner) and love the beautiful views of the golf course.

Very nice place to stay in WaynesvilleAs its name states this is a golf resort in Waynesville, NC. The check-in is accomplished by going to a room on the bottom floor of the northernmost building. There were two friendly staff there that checked us in and gave us keys to the unit. Our unit was a second-floor unit on a building to the southwest of the check-in building. The unit was very nice and had a bathroom to the right of the entrance, a big closet to the left, and then a large open area for the rest of the unit. There is a small kitchenette area with a microwave and a TV. There is a very nice patio that looks out onto the Golf course and the mountains. There was construction happening at the site but they delayed starting until late morning and stopped before evening. The staff was very pleasant. The room was very nice. The view was great and the price was good. The site is a little drive from the town. That could be good or bad depending on whether you want to be near or far away from many places. Breakfast snacks can be had back at the main office. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay in Waynesville.

The room was nice but the whole place is under construction so it was unsightly. Will probably be a lot nicer when finished. Also, the lights outside our room stayed in constantly making it impossible to get the room totally dark.

We stayed there for 3 nights when we were in Waynesville checking on the renovations to a home we bought nearby. To start - Its under renovation - so there should no be any surprises related to that or amenities offered ( we were not there for amenities as there are ample bars/ restaurants near by) - when they are done the place will be terrific for golfers for sure As for our experience Check in - Efficient and friendly Room had been Updated with new paint / carpeting and furniture It was a nice large room and very comfortable vs chain hotel rooms New TV - Ample lighting and very clean As you walk in, a very large closet to your left and on the other side of it a wet bar with fridge - sink area Its early spring and chilly so we didn't use it but, the outdoor patio area accessed thru one of 2 doors from the room, was very large and roomy over looking the golf course under renovation and the mountains - when the course is done - its going to be a great spot to relax after a day golfing Only reason got a 4 vs a 5 was the bathroom - always a tuff remodel aspect because moving pluming etc can be a hassle and costly - Its not a roomy bathroom - bit tight , and the shower is a bit dated - but the water was hot and they had solid towels ( 2 big things for me when I travel ) Ample parking available as well and its 5 minutes from downtown Waynesville Fairly priced and an upgrade over comfortable inns etc nearby for a few days use We'd use again

No golf for another year during renovations. They are short staffed so no housekeeping. We are here 4 nights so we call the office for odds and ends. We ate in the restaurant and had Ribeye medium rare because they're thin but baked potato and salad were fresh and good. Servers are very cordial and friendly.

I no longer golf due to disability’s. When we went on Golf Trips with friends this was the place we always made a point of staying for several days and playing golf. I absolutely loved playing golf on this course. It was always in good shape and the scenery around the course was so enjoyable. I loved looking on the hills and seeing the cows grazing on the hillside. It reminded me of a country calendar picture. My husband and I would come on our own for a quick 3 day trip every once in awhile also. We have since moved to Charlotte NC but then we would make the drive from Miami Fl. I always found myself being taken back in time when we stayed at this charming resort.
