Walkability: Able to walk to theaters, park, and other restaurants.
Food and drinks: The 1 Food and Spirits is an excellent restaurant. Recommend reservations especially if going to a show downtown.

The One restaurant is one of our favorite places when we go out. Bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable, and charismatic and make great cocktails, service is always good, menu is very limited but all dishes generally high quality. Live music several evenings per week. Easy location to get to.
Food and drinks: Have never seen the rooms but enjoy the restaurant very much.

We used BLU as the hotel for our wedding and it was simply amazing!! All of our guests who stayed at the hotel loved it and all had friendly, helpful service from the entire BLU team. I got ready with my bridesmaids and took some pictures in the hotel lobby, all of which have turned out amazing. Whether you're looking for a place for your wedding guests stay or just for a weekend getaway, I would highly recommend staying at BLUtique. The bar and restaurant are also fabulous - all around it is a true Akron gem!

BLU-Tique is a great spot with an amazing staff! Sam (bartender) is…awesome and super personable. She’s a realist to a tee, no bs, and extremely friendly (don’t cross her though 🙃)…she’s literally, your bartender’s bartender.
As far as service, Julie, is on point. She’s super cool & collect and just a great person in general. She’s very attentive to detail and can recommend a great entree based on how you’re feeling that particular day.
Overall, the staff is amazing. Per the two above (Sam & Julie) the Blu-Tique is a place to stop for a drink and bite to eat…service is hands down phenomenal.
Additional: While in the Akron area, other props go to Luigi’s Restaurant, Totally Baked, and El Patron. There’s a bunch of great places, but these all stood out for the few days I was there & did not disappoint.
Five Stars Regardless: I’m a person who likes stairs so keep in mind, the elevators are a bit slow and at this time that I stayed there, only one elevator was in service. I like stairs so this was no problem for me. This has no reflection on the staff & the cost to update is massive expensive, but that would be my only upgrade recommendation.
The outdoor courtyard on Blu-Tique was great and rooms are nice!

Nice boutique hotel in the heart of downtown Akron. Within walking distance of many great restaurants and attractions, but you may not want to leave the first floor restaurant, with it's great food, awesome drinks, and live music.

Good location, good front desk and bar service, and nice vibe. The rooms are a little small and I had to take a cold shower which was ridiculous.

This hotel is definitely where you want to stay whether in Akron for business or for pleasure. From the front desk service to the awesome bar and restaurant staff, the professionalism is of the highest quality!
My favorite part of the experience was the bar and restaurant staff. This group of servers were definitely one of a kind in the most positive way! I definitely want to shout out Meech who is just an all around smart, intelligent and positive person. His service was professional and he definitely brings joy to all who encounter him. Another shout out to Bryan and the server for breakfast, who were also professional and just downright kind.
Thank you BluTique staff for making my stay a most pleasant one! I will definitely be returning in the near future!

We enjoyed our 3 day stay at the Blu-tique Hotel. Caroline at the front desk was extremely helpful. The parking was covered and directly behind the hotel. We went to the restaurant two nights in a row because the food and service were so good. The first night we had Meech and the second night Bryan. Both guys were extremely attentive. The pork chop was fabulous as well as the margarita pizza. The funky downtown atmosphere was really kewl. The bartender made custom craft cocktails from scratch. The White Russian was made with hand whipped cream……..out of this world. I highly recommend the Blu-tique.

This hotel is a hidden gem in downtown Akron... located near the stadium, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, etc. This hotel is in the center of it all. The hotel restaurant is top tier with a 5 star dining experience. I had a corner room which made the room super spacious and comfortable for a 7 night stay. The daily maid service was AMAZING and she truly made me feel welcomed. The front desk and management are accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel to any looking for a new, safe place to stay in the Akron-Cleveland-Canton area. Note this hotel is extremely expensive & not worth the price unless you have the extra money lol, however not uncommon for the area.

Only option is to stay two nights. Over $700 to stay in Akron (which is basically a ghost town) for two nights. Really wanted to stay here for our wedding night but you’ve made it completely unaffordable. Extremely disappointed.
