I want to thank Jim Herman and Carlson Funeral Home for being so wonderful during the most difficult time of my life when I lost my Mom and very best friend. Jim is such a gem and such a kind soul who gave me and my family so much comfort through this whole process. He really made me feel like my Mom would be taken good care of and walked me through each process every step of the way. I was able to pick out a beautiful urn with engraving and a memorial candle. They were both beautifully done, and I will never forget my Mom. I would highly recommend Carolson Funeral Home to anyone who loses a loved one etc. They put me at so much ease and showed me so much compassion and understanding. I can’t thank them enough!

Sadly we had a terrible experience with Carlson funeral home. We needed to have a minute with our loved one before the burial and they sat in the back of the funeral home and were just chatting it up with each other and LAUGHING while we were trying to have our minute. We can understand if they were standing back there but having a conversation and laughing was very unprofessional and disheartening considering the loss of our loved one. They were very chaotic and nothing was organized. One of the funeral home workers stood up to talk but seemed to have no idea what she was doing or talking about. When parking we let them know we were waiting on someone and he was very rude. Overall it was a terrible experience and I hope no one else has this experience.

We had a celebration of life gathering in the community room. From outside a ramp takes you to a Very large room, large buffet table w/a doorway into a mini kitchen, flat screen tv on wall where you can play a DVD-I got a serenity music w/tropical destinations dvd, very clean private bathrooms. I Designated one whole area to the urn w/All kinds of pictures and plants around it. I also put fresh white tablecloths that helped brighten up the space. It worked out perfectly! They were so helpful there and had an amazing price!!!

Carlson's did a great job in handling all the arrangements. Our loved one was buried at Rittman National Cementary, that went very smooth. Overall great job

When my father in law passed away it was a very difficult time for our family, but Kim and the entire staff did an outstanding job with all the details, but what impressed me the most was the care and compassion that they gave to my mother in law, sister in law and wife during the time he was there. Cant say enough kind things about Carlsons.

Our family is grateful for Carlson. The Brunswick location exceeded our expectations during the recent loss of two family members within a few months of each other. Because we had such a positive experience with Carlson during our first loss, we had no hesitation contacting them to help with the second. Pat, Kim, Scott, and Steve were extremely respectful, helpful, compassionate, and accessible throughout the whole process. We never felt any pressure when making decisions, and were very pleased when special requests were quickly and graciously accommodated. Thank you, everyone, for your professionalism and the loving care extended to our family during those very challenging and distressing months. When my Mom died unexpectedly I called several funeral homes but after a friend referred me to this one I gave them a call. This was the first one who actually had a answering service out of the others I called. They had a staff member call me back right away. Everyone at this funeral home helped me tremendously with the sudden death of my mother. I had to plan a unexpected funeral and they actually worked with me and guided me when I was completely lost. Nancy is who I had the most contact with and she is very kind and caring. She definitely will help you with anything you need help with from Life Insurance to transportation of your loved one to the home. She even helped with writing a obituary if you choose to do so. I also met with Fred and he went over my choices and expenses and planning the whole wake. He was very cool and made the often difficult process go much more smoother than I expected. I definitely recommend their services and especially if you have a unexpected death as I did with no prior arrangements.

I had a wonderful experience twice over with both of my parents. Through this wonderful Funeral Home. When your not in the best mind. Dealing with so much. They made it easy to make the correct decision. With my Father they went out of there way to make the arrangements twice. When my brothers couldn’t agree. They were patient, and waited for them to come to peace with there decision. With Mom. We lived 125 miles away from the Funeral Home when Mom passed away on Christmas. They were very gracious. They came immediately. Assuring me everything would be taken care of. I was already dealing with a loss 10 days prior. Losing my brother. Dealing with Mom now was just to much, but they were there for me. Mom had a beautiful Ceremony. Everything was handle smoothly. Even now months later. They keep checking on me and are still supporting me?
