This is only a 10 minute walk from Cedarville University. The staff was kind and helpful. There is a game room we enjoyed. Met our needs. No complaints.
Safety: Very safe community.
Walkability: Right on the main street of town, can walk anywhere.

A quaint, comfortable, clean hotel right next to the Ohio to Erie bike trail. The owner Ruth and all the staff were most welcoming. Continental breakfast was full of filling and healthy options. Room amenities were first class. And the price was right. Jo Ann

Wife and I stayed in the jacuzzi suite on a Thursday night. The staff was friendly and helpful with local attraction information. The stay was quiet, the room very clean, and nice furnishings. The breakfast was available at 7:30 am and included yogurt, fruit, bagels, muffins, cereal, breakfast sandwiches to warm and coffee. We would definitely stay again given the opportunity.

We loved everything about the Inn! It felt like a home away from home and Stuart and staff were so welcoming and informative! We loved the history about the town that was at the Inn and the cozy breakfast room and wonderful coffee! We were visiting Yellow Springs and the hotel was less than 10 minutes from there and such an easy drive! We will highly recommend the Inn to friends!
Food and drinks: Loved the local pizza restaurant that was within walking distance!

This is a gem of a hotel. The lobby is very homey and comfortable, and the staff are extremely friendly. It's only a 5 minute walk to downtown Cedarville. They have a Continental breakfast, but it's mostly cold items like cereal, hardboiled eggs, muffins, or microwavable burritos but it's still appreciated. Our room was clean and comfortable. This is the kind of place where you can tell everyone cares, I felt cared for while I was here. It's also only a 15 minute drive to Yellow Springs. I'd recommend anyone stay here.
Rooms: Very clean, comfortable.
Nearby activities: Skeleton Key Adventures escape room, Colonial Pizza, Indian Mound Reserve
Walkability: You can walk to downtown Cedarville in 5 minutes.
Food and drinks: They have a snack bar, and their continental breakfast is mostly muffins, cereal, yogurt etc.

Just the most lovely, comfortable stay I've had in the longest time-- wonderful, warm staff; quaint accomodations reminiscint of a proper B&B; and a super convenient location for our university visit.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, great location for cyclists on the OTET. There are also a handful of good places to eat within walking distance in this charming town. Well worth a stay if you're biking the trail.

Beautiful and more than I expected! Loved the jacuzzi in our suite! Friendly staff, would stay again!
Only issue is they forgot to add my flower peddles, but staff was willing to do it while we were out for dinner.
Thank you for a lovely time!

I stayed here for an interview i had at cedarville university which was perfect because the campus was about a 2 minute drive from the hotel. i drove through the center of town and got to see all of the cute little stores. the staff was super friendly when i checked in and recommended places to eat since a lot of them had closed for the storm. the room itself was clean and the bed was comfy! my room was a double queen and there was a sink and mirror outside of the bathroom as well as inside the bathroom which could be nice if you’re traveling with multiple people! overall, i had a great experience and would stay here again.

It is always so nice and everyone is so nice.
Hearthstone will always be "our" place.

We've been going to Hearthstone Inn for ~20 years, not long after they opened because my wife grew up/still has family in Cedarville. If you're going to be in the area I doubt you will find a hotel that beats this one. The small reasons I'm not giving 5 stars are only because it truly isn't a 5 star place no matter how much we like them. They need to refresh the pillows, which are sad, thin and wimpy now. The walls are thin enough that you will hear noisy neighboring rooms, people using the stairs and closing doors. Their included breakfast has lessened in quality in recent years, it used to be more than a continental breakfast.
All that said, they have ALWAYS been stellar at being service oriented, the place really is cute, and they always keep it very clean and nice looking. I wish I could make it 4.5 stars.
