We stopped by just because, you can’t go wrong with a historical society in any town. It was definitely worth it, they had a music exhibit of the 70’s. For the size of the place, they had an amazing amount of things to see. Though there is no entry fee, please donate if you can to appreciate the great work they are doing.

Finally made it to the current location. Seems like every time I go, they move. Soon enough they will be in the historic firehouse they are purchasing nearby. For now, they are in a small office building, which provides enough space for interesting displays. This time we went for the '70s Columbus music display. As always, excellent exhibit. Awesome artifacts, beautiful display, well-written captions. And informed docents to answer questions. If you're interested in Columbus, or music, or history in general, get here. It's free! But please make a donation. History belongs to everyone and we need to preserve it. These folks do a heck of a job.

So much history is packed within the walls of the Columbus Historical Society. I attended several of the most recent exhibits including The Roaring Twenties in Columbus which was one of the best historic exhibits I seen, Pandemic Art in Central Ohio was incredibly moving and the current The 70's Music Explosion in Columbus. This high energy exhibit showcases memorabilia from local artists as well as the pop culture of the era.The Columbus Historical Society is truly worth a visit.
