My husband, my daughter, and I visited Kelton House last week. It was a wonderful place to visit. Jeff, our tour guide, was great as he explained many historical facts about the house and time period as well as the people who lived there. He appeared to love what he was doing as evident by his tone of voice and enthusiasm. I was very impressed with the Kelton House. It was also tastefully decorated for Christmas and a lovely and historical place to visit. We will be back in a couple of years with friends. The carriage house is also a wonderful place to hold parties and events. I give Kelton House an A plus and 5 stars!

We had the most perfect wedding ceremony at Kelton House (our reception was at another location). It made for a beautiful setting and the areas to get ready were all perfect and beautiful. Our guests were even able to tour the museum before the ceremony!

This place has become a sort of sanctuary for me. I call it my very on secret garden. It’s a hidden gem in the heart of olde towne east! I have to pinch myself sometimes because I feel so lucky to have access to this bit of nature in the middle of a city. I spend most of my mornings here, as I like to practice grounding fo start my days. The owners take such a good care of this place and it definitely shows. Thank you so much for creating this beautiful space. It’s truly the highlight of where I live.

I an a history's buff. I have probably visited dozens of historical homes. This underground home was probably the biggest surprise. It is located in a residential neighborhood in Columbus Ohio. The home is fairly large. The tour guide tells the story of the Kelton home beautifully and the visit to the basement living quarters for the runaway slaves complete the visit. If you live here or visit Columbus it is a must see.

I’m an interior designer turned flight attendant. When I get the opportunity to go into older homes/buildings around the country I do!Sarah at the Kelton House showed me around the property and I was fascinated by all the information about the houses interior and the families history! I believe that 90% of the furniture is original from the Kelton family. It was great to see the hand painted china sets and old books. What fascinated me the most were the stories about the family and their evolvement with the Underground Railroad. Thanks again Sarah!

The Columbus Library was having a Holiday Trolley Hop and this was one of the stops! The interior was lovely and had lots of dainty antique dishware and furniture. One room had a Lego cathedral that a woman and her son had spent two years constructing! I was so busy admiring it that I forgot to take photos. Go see it yourself, it's excellent! The basement featured a connection to the underground railround and there were detailed set pieces as well as placards of information. We were offered snacks and beverages in a backroom facing the garden. There were coloring pages out, too.

Joesph was an excellent tour guide how made my tour very interpersonal. He explains in detail and answers questions well. Not only did this house introduce me to the Kelton family, I also learned about about Ohio during my tour. The house is a couple blocks away from major streets with places to visit and things to do. Before and after my visit, Geff was polite when he issued me a ticket and helped me have a nice time.Take time to visit this house to keep history alive.

This museum is a beautifully and meticulously preserved Victorian mansion that is steeped in rich history. I went for Fernando's Funeral and enjoyed the event throughly, and now I find myself wanting to go back to do the full tour. Staff/curators were knowledgeable and memorable, they really made us feel welcome and gave us so much interesting information about the house as well as the family who loved, lived and died there.

We had an absolutely wonderful tour of this beautifully restored home with Kathe. She gave us a very deep look into the Kelton family. And by the end of the tour it felt like we actually knew them. The restoration details were incredible and everything was decorated with real artifacts that were original to the family. If you're interested in the Victorian era or abolitionist history this is a must-do!

Hadn’t got the opportunity to visit this place in a few years as a previous and owner of property over100 years old in the historic Bryden area it’s always great to see the changes and improvements made to locations it was even nicer attending an event I’ve attended a wedding here that is just as beautiful Glad I came the parking is challenging if it’s a busy day otherwise on the street parking is OK there is parking on Franklin Avenue which would be nice to know ahead of time so that you don’t get anxiety trying to find a space and get to your event on time.

If you’re looking for some cheaper fun to do in downtown Columbus you have got to check out this place. It’s such an interesting fun time. The house/museum is preserved beautifully, and the curator is full of wonderful knowledge and super fun tidbits. Don’t be afraid to ask questions about the pieces and furniture around the house.

A beautiful experience of an early Victorian home. A gorgeous tucked away experience in a local neighborhood. Remember to park in their parking lot near the house on a back street.
