Made a few returns from an online order. It took forever because they insisted on making me take fabric returned to be measured and had to wait for return associate for several minutes before finally being helped again. Would be a lot more convenient if the returns desk could do it on the spot.

I had a couple of returns, and the associates went out of there way to help me. Friendly associates, and a clean well organized store. Will definitely be back.

This location is bad joke. The employees are rude and very unkind. One experience (out of many that I want to note), would be the cutting counter. I was the ONLY person at the counter and the ONLY person in the vicinity other than the employee working the counter.I stepped up to have my fabric cut and she barked, “do you have a number?” I looked around to point out she’s crazy. There’s no one except for my person. She MADE me take a number, and once I had the ticket in my hand, she called out the number on the screen. The number on the screen was about 5 numbers short of the one I had. So she clicked the number button and called out the number until she finally reached my ticket number. That was ludicrous. I thought I was on an episode of Candid Camera.I hate shopping the Dayton Mall location because of the employees.I now shop at Bridge Water Falls, the drive is worth my mental health.During Christmas, I visited the Fairborn location. I needed material cut… I stepped to the counter, I was the ONLY person around the counter. I didn’t want to be barked at so I made a move to grab a useless ticket. The lady KINDLY said, “oh you don’t need a ticket, I know you’re the next one.” I told her about ‘another’ Joann’s that I shop at and how they MAKE you take a number, even when you’re the ONLY one there. I didn’t name the location I was speaking about. She looks at me and says, “the Dayton mall store, those people are rude!”Dangggg, Dayton Mall is getting a reputation and it’s not good.

I spend a fair amount of time and money at this store. They have signs in the yarn area that are very misleading and the staff, Specifically Manager Terry, is very rude to guests about these false advertising signs. I had to ask her to apologize to an elderly woman as she was very aggressive and dismissive with her about the misleading “sale” advertisement. We all collectively pulled the item and the sign up and agreed it was FALSE advertising but the manager refused to make the situation right. Instead she was rolling her eyes, being aggressive and loud. It’s just overall disappointing from such a generally pleasant store.

I ordered online and picked up in store. I arrived after 6:00 p.m., so I couldn't do curbside pickup. I was a little surprised there was only one checkout open on the Sunday evening one week before Christmas. But the cashier was quick and friendly.

Customer service is trash. Was my first time in this store and was actually going to go to Michael's but Jo Ann's was closer at the time so I decided to take a look here for a few things I needed for my tree. So boom I walk in and ask did they have the Christmas sale going on and what looked to appear as a manager she said yes so I start looking around a little lost so i ask where the ribbon was and she responded a few isles down ? down from where? I asked her again for another item and again she said they were sold out but a customer actually showed me where what I was looking for was located. CAN WE NORMALIZE walking the customer to what they need. CAN WE PLEASE MAKE EMPLOYEES UNDERSTAND THAT IF YOU HATE YOUR JOB TO FIND ANOTHER one. Customer service is just that to service customer's

The staff are very nice and polite. The store is organized chaos. It is like stepping back 30 years in time. The hardest part is having to stand in line at the checkout with 20 plus customers ahead of me and the there was almost 20 plus behind me. Yikes. The checkout process here is a grinding experience. It took exactly 26 minutes just to get to 1 of the 2 cashiers. She had to go to the other side of the building and look for my order. Wow. This was my 3rd time picking up a prepaid order. Each visit was exactly the same. Grinding. This checkout really needs an award for the long drawn out process. There are other places that have better checkout experiences. This particular experience gets my: avoid this process if you have a short supply of patience or can't control your comments. Oh my. I need a rest after that, again. Lol.
