I go to this bank out of proximity of location. I regret it everyone. The manager is never available and it shows thru with horrible customer service. Even a routine bank transaction gets messed up. Now I am waiting for the bank to correct their mistake which could take 7 business days. Why do I have to suffer consequences because of this establishments incompetence.

The younger people that work here don't like to acknowledge their customers. Went here to open a CD. Waited in line and when we got to a teller, I told her what we wanted (open a CD for $5000.) so she went to a computer for several minutes. I figured she was preparing the CD paperwork. When she returned to the teller window she stated that we should have a seat to wait for the man in a cubicle. We sat down. The man in the cubicle could se us and we could see him. He took what appeared to be a Tylenol. Then he proceeded to work on his computer. After 10 minutes went by I walked to his cubicle to inquire as to if he knew I was directed to him. It just felt like they don't care about customs.

This bank is the ultimate clown show that has no concept of customer service. Had trouble getting into my online checking account and spent many times on the phone with technical support - cleared cookies, dumped the cache, changed browsers since i was told it didn't like Safari, etc. I was told that security put a 24 hour fraud lock on my account which I have had for over 20 years with TCF before they were taken over by Huntington. After two cycles of 24 holds and no joy I call and get passed around to find out that I need to go in person to unblock the lock. I told them I am in California 2000 miles away until June in which case they inform me then I will have to wait until June to access my account I suggested a Facetime or Zoom call but they indicated I needed to present myself in person. i was passed onto a Manager who barely spoke English and told me there was a branch in Alameda, CA which Google says is actually in Colorado on Alameda Ave. - she had no understanding of US geography. Never in my 40 year business career have i ever encountered this level of incompetence and indifference to customers.

They locked my account while I was in the process of buying a car. I tried to transfer $10k into my account so I could pay for my car all from one bank but apparently that was grounds for getting it locked. A process that took 7 days to undo and literally every person I asked about it was confused. I even transferred the money way ahead of when I needed to pay and the day I was due to pay for my car my bank account was STILL LOCKED. I had to take out a cashier's check and overnight it to the dealership and I barely got it in on time, yes that's right I was buying this car over the phone from 1,100 miles away. With my money split between two different banking institutions, one of which has 0 locations in Ohio and the other had transfers locked. The payment process was time consuming and stressful. Staff at every level is so poorly trained and had so little knowledge as to what was going on with my account. The one guy at the counter didn't even know what a bank to bank transfer is. You work in a bank.. How do you not know what that is? Every single time I spoke to someone there was almost no protocol for how to respond to my issue, no information about my account, etc. I get that it's not their fault that they're ignorant but it just shows that this bank as an institution doesn't invest in developing their account management systems or training their employees. When I talk to my military bank over the phone they ALWAYS know immediately who to direct me to to solve my problem, what I have been calling about previously, what documents have been received right down to the time stamp, notes on my account, how to expedite a service for me etc. I thought that was standard professional service but apparently not these days. Every single person I spoke to with Huntington I had to explain in detail from the beginning that yes my account really is locked, I am trying to transfer money INTO it.. IN. I already turned in documents for verification, etc. It gets very annoying after explaining it yet again to the 4th or 5th person. It's so dumb, I gave you my documents I own both bank accounts just expedite unlocking my account or at least explain to me why it takes x days to "process" my documents. I've linked accounts between other banks before and it NEVER took 7 days to process nor did it result in my account being locked. Either it's due to the pandemic "staffing issues" or this bank has always been poorly managed. I believe it's the latter because a few years ago they actually deposited someone else's money into my account, I don't even understand how you manage to do that. I have my car today and all is right in the world but I cannot forget the amount of Unnecessary STRESS this experience gave me nor can I forget how their phone representatives sounded soulless and dead inside, which I mention because it appears that in addition to poor management they clearly have little value for their workers as well. Just awful. Opening an account here was a very silly mistake. Do not recommend.

Here’s an idea. If you don’t want the lines to be so long. Have the ATM accept check deposits. That’s all ppl want to do is put their check in. So this line is stupid If ATM would accept the line would be half as long

Very nice location/ they treated me with respect, and I always feel safe in this location with their security guard on hand. Best Huntington bank around.
