Today, I walked into Davidson's and was greeted by the friendly staff in a family run jewelry store with a good assortment of jewelry and unrivaled customer service.
I recently moved from Dayton to the Cincy area and have been looking for a jeweler for watch battery replacement, jewelry repair and an occasional bauble for my girl, when the mood strikes me or I'm in trouble ;-)
I was promptly waited upon and explained that I needed a new battery in my Hamilton watch and to have my fiance's engagement ring cleaned before our New Year's Eve wedding. I handed them both items and they were quickly inspected and agreed on the condition.
In the time that it took for me to apologize for the short notice on both items, my watch was handed back to me with a new battery! The battery replacement was just $18, less than a fourth of what Jared's charged me ($80) just a year earlier! And in the case of Jared's, the watch battery which typically last 3-4 years, was already dead!
My fiancé's ring was returned to me sparkling like new and they cleaned it for free!
JAREDS JEWELRY STORY:
Prior to my gal, who used to live in Lebanon, recommending Davidson's Jewelry, I've been doing business with Jareds, which was less than satisfactory and ridiculously expensive even for a watch battery replacement ($80).
In my last dealing with Jareds they also broke the stem of my Hamilton watch and charged me an additional $104 to have it replaced, claiming it was bent when it arrived. Considering the fact that the Jared's sales rep and I both inspected the watch before they accepted it, this was something I should not have been charged for. Its a prized watch that stays in its case and is worn rarely, so I knew its condition before handing it over for a simple battery replacement.

My ring was 3 days late, the date was pushed back twice. I was promised over and over again and they still could not follow through. My calls were completely ignored. I was told I would be called the second my ring was done, I was never called and had to go in myself to get the ring.

A small Jewry store that gives you special attention that you have not had for a long time. . They go from putting batteries in watches to ring guards on very special rings. I won't go to any other jewelers when I can get what a need. From this family. Thank you

Was referred by a friend who said they were honest and trustworthy. I had a good visit and I am pleased with my purchases. They were nice and helpful. The door opening onto mall side is the entrance.

They did a fantastic job with my St. Michael medallion and rope chain. After close to 25 years of wearing it everyday since I graduated from the police academy the clasp broke. We called and they guaranteed to fix it the same day! We dropped it off in the morning and it was ready just after lunch!! I was so very excited and impressed! Thank you for helping and your quick turnaround!! I am glad that there are places where they say their word is true and it is truly appreciated!!!

My daughter went to this jewler because it was close to home, she has a keepsake necklace that has her dad's ashes in it that she wanted to have permanently closed she was told that they were to busy and just glue it. This is something she will have forever and gluing it is not a good long term solution.Sge doesn't want to ruin it . They were rude and not compassionate. This is the last of her father she has. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Very bad customer service!

John & his wife are very good with all of your jewelry needs. My 25 year old wedding ring had a prong that started snagging every towel, sweater and blanket I owned. I went there and he had it fixed quickly and he cleaned it. It looked like the day I got married. He has done all the repairs on my jewelry for many years. I am always very satisfied.
