I started my account at the Barks Rd location in Marion, OH exactly 5 years and 4 months ago because I worked in Marion county. Since then, I transferred to Morrow county. Pillar Credit Union opened a branch in Mt. Gilead, which is convenient for my residence and job location.

MARION BRANCH: You’re not going to get the customer service or credit union experience you would expect. When trying to figure out an issue with our account, the rep quickly got aggravated for no reason. Anytime you’re dealing with someone else’s money, they are going to want to ask a lot of questions in an effort to obtain understanding. Questions and the sharing of information should not invoke an emotional response from someone who is suppose to be a professional in customer service and experience. Also, saying thank you or saying goodbye when ending a conversation is far more professional than hanging up on a customer as they are speaking. Not your neighborhood or hometown credit union.UPDATE: called the Mt Gilead branch, completely different experience. She took the time to review the account, was kind, patient and provided a resolution. She also provided a solution to prevent the issue from happening again. All over the phone. The other rep refused to continue to help unless we drove at least a half hour to a branch in person.

My stepfather tried to add me and my wife as a beneficiary. We took the paperwork that was for him to leave us as his beneficiary to the Marion branch. Once I called to see what was going on I was told that I'm not a beneficiary. TOO BAD I COULDN'T LEAVE 0 STARS.

I live in Mansfield and have to drive to Marion everytime there is an issue with shared banking. That seems to be every month and its beyond inconvenient. Then i try to call to correct it and not once have I gotten a single teller to answer my call.

They used to have 2 locations but now it's only this location. That's really inconvenient for me! Pillar needs to open their other location back up but I've since seen they turned in into something other than a bank. Their ATM's don't have an option to deposit cash into the machine like Chase does. This feature would at least make it easier for me so I don't have to drive clear on the other side of town to make simple deposits. This location is also very very slow to get customers through the drive-thru. Why can't you get ATM's like Chase has that accepts cash to deposit into your account? You're making it difficult for me to stay a customer! The side of town your Bank is located isn't even a good spot. It's out of the way for just about everybody I know that does business with you.

Very nice and friendly staff. It was very busy. Took the girl a little time to get to me. When she got un busy she was very friendly and answered all of my questions and took quickly took care of my business.
