No receipt at the pump

Multiple times I have stopped at this rest area to find out that half of the pumps don't work. One pump declined my card, but the one next to it worked just fine. Quite annoying when you're traveling for work and trying to keep a schedule.

Pretty low quality of Google Maps to allow routing to this gas station from non-Turnpike roads. Wasted mileage when low on gas. Take the option off.

So typically I don’t care enough but my patience is low and this irritated me more than necessary. So I come to this rest area to get fuel in my truck (it has been a very long day) and this particular rest area has handed my fuel card to the wrong driver before so I’m not fond of leaving it with them.
Well tonight I go in and I’m thinking I’ll just get them to pre approve an amount and get my card back. Apparently I was still wrong, the lady still wanted to keep the card so I asked her, “do you have to keep the card”?
And ever so smugly she (Jennifer) says, “just sign this” a blank piece of receipt paper. And I began to explain to her my previous issue and smug and condescending again she says “ it wasn’t me and that’s not my problem”. And I reply with “no, but it would’ve been mine”.
I finish pumping, go back in for my receipt and they’re laying on the counter with a pen. So I assume I sign one, “she says no since you had to leave with your card you don’t sign them, I got what I need”.
It’s people like Jennifer here that make people irate, I simply was explaining something and she became immediately defensive, condescending and smug. She needs to chill out just a tad, and learn just cause you say nice words at people doesn’t make you a nice person.
