Associates are ALWAYS friendly and go the extra mile for their customers. Miss Audra is always kind and handles my questions with ease. I live an hour away from the nearest branch and no matter who I speak with have never had any issues. Customer service on the 800 number is also top of the line. Thank you for being wonderful!

I had lost my wallet, along with everything in it, such as debit cards, credit card, photo IDs, and so forth. I went there to replace my debit card. Unlike my other bank, this bank required a photo ID, which I didn't have as of yet. They also didn't have a copy of my ID on file. My Social Security card and birth certificate weren't sufficient. After calling the main branch, I was able to provide them with a copy of my ID, which I had emailed to me, and was able to show them on my phone. The situation was resolved after a phone call and three visits to the bank. I thought it was more important to replace my debit and credit cards prior to replacing my ID. I had no problems replacing other debit or credit cards, only at this bank. I was told it was for security reasons, and I suppose I can understand that.

The Filipino-American lady who works as a cashier is always super nice, fast, and helpful. Parking is easy and the place is clean and has a nice atmosphere. All the employees seem helpful and upbeat; not like they are working in a morgue like some banks. Nice bank!

I deposited a very large amount at this bank they were all lovey-dovey this last Sunday night I made a purchase on my card the mobile app was down an employee at the bank verified that as well and I wasn't able to move money over there for whatever grace period They claim to give, they're not standing by it I woke up and I had $220 in fees that they are not willing to reverse the manager at the bank said" my mobile app works fine " but when I spoke to one of the other employees there he said the mobile app was down Sunday night going into Monday morning and corporate First merchants bank gave this branch a slap on the wrist for giving out too many credits so when I asked the gentleman to speak to Tiffany for me he told me she shut him down because. I spoke to Tiffany she became very hostile and said that because her app worked the app couldn't be down I tried to get in touch with her supervisor and I was told that her supervisor just recently left so she doesn't have a boss I feel this person is acting very subjective and I have conveyed this with other branches and they have also said that's not right bc the mobile app was not working Sunday night therefore you have no way of knowing where your account balance was Monday morning

Recently sold a house where First Merchants was the mortgage lender. The closing company confirmed wiring them the money, however they have continued to bill me and indicate they have no record of receiving the payment. While I'm sure this is just grievous incompetence and not a literally criminal Wells Fargo style attempt to blatantly steal money from a customer, and will probably be resolved without me having to resort to actual legal threats, I'm still gonna go with 1 star for having to spend hours on the phone with this bank talking to person after person who could not verify whether on not they received a federally insured wire transfer and who refused to just cancel auto pay on the mortgage that should no longer exist. Update: 72 hours and they have confirmed that they received $172000 to pay off the mortgage but refuse to confirm to me that they have closed the loan, still have not confirmed that they have stopped the automatic billing, and still have not refunded me the $1900 that they charged after the loan was paid off. I retract my certainty that this is all just incompetence. They may just be very intentionally stealing money from customers. Stay away.

RIDICULOUS!! ATM deposits ..cash or check takes 1 WHOLE BUSINESS DAY to credit/process! WHY! Are your employees that lazy they can't WALK OVER TO THE ATM to process transactions SAME DAY! And it's even more ridiculous when where talking about CASH! Why are you holding CASH!! I bet you it won't take A WHOLE BUSINESS DAY to close my account!
