Pet friendly AND has a clean pool!
I often book rooms here just to take my family swimming. Pack up the pets, arrive by mid-afternoon and let the fun begin! The place is clean, never encountered any pests or rodents, rooms are always very clean, surprisingly quality pillows and mattresses. Good solid set of exercise equipment & weights. AWESOME free breakfast! Tons of food to choose from, make your own waffles even.

Like so many others I have seen over the past several years, a chain hotel company comes in, buys an old hotel, and slaps its signage on it but doesn't do any updates. So you have old, dirty, stained carpet and furniture, peeling wallpaper, and moisture damage in the bathroom. But you're still paying the brand-name price for the room that isn't up to standards.

Not really worth the money, but the staff was friendly and helpful. Pool was great and there’s no hot tub anymore.

It’s a shame. Burn holes in bedspread and sheets. A door, not at all secure. The parking lot was covered in potholes. Cigarette butts were everywhere on the ground… But…. employees tried their best. Room was fairly clean and desk person very nice. I felt bad for them working for this forgotten RRI.

House keepers are so nice. Everything was clean. Breakfast had hot food & cereal. Great place to stay for the price.

This chair in our room (215) was visibly dirty. It looks like it had never been cleaned. The Ottoman had staining on it either from urine or something being spilled on it.
We brought our concerns up to three separate desk clerks and neither seemed concerned about
our complaint as if such complaints are regular events at this location. Neither of the clerks even apologized or offered to change rooms for us.
Yuk, yuk, yuk.

This hotel isn’t bad but if you care about customer service, this isn’t the right place. I visit Van Wert once a week for business and I always stayed at Holiday inn. The person who books my hotels forgot to get me a room 2 weeks ago and they were booked by the time i got there. I ended up getting a room here. This place is quit and the gym equipment are better than Holiday inn (not the best but it’s enough for light workout day). I asked to book my future stays for the rest of the year here at Comfort inn but i’m going to cancel and go back to Holiday inn, front desks are friendly, greetings and trained to speak to customers. Today when i checked in I was asked for my ID, address and cell phone which i wasn’t asked last week when i came here because they had it from 2 weeks ago. I asked if they could safe my information in their system so i don’t have to provide these info every time i come here like other hotels i go to. The manger who i wasn’t talking to jumped in and spoke in aggressive manner. Tried to remind her that i’m a customer and shouldn’t be talking customers like that to keep them come back, but she did’t care and became rude. My future stays definitely will be cancelled and good luck to the owner keeping customers come back with the manger attitude

The toilet was wobbly, the heat lamp was just a flood light, the bed was saggy, the ceiling creaked from people walking above us, etc. Time for a renovation.

Ladies are awesome behind the desk even with my random request for a charger when mine quit, housekeeping was awesome.... I'll bring back tomorrow afternoon after work 😁
