It's a lot colder on the bottom floor in Fall n Winter An dusty in the Spring n Summer the Neighbors are very outgoing People! Rent is a higher than usual cost since the Covid Pandemic! I've been here over 5 years, an I'm a Vietnam War Era Disabled Veteran so I was a bit surprised to have it raised over $212 Rent increase sort of high since I have to be on ground floor due to me Disabilities from Military Service! The Maintenance Personnel are good n very efficient at their Jobs. The Office Personnel are very knowledgeable and helpful especially if there's a problem that needs replacing or repairs! I'm somewhat worried about Winter with the Snow is going to be worse their may be issues on plowing the Parking Areas! Seems to be more cars n trucks per units which is a Problem! Its why, I gave 3 Stars! Owners do Regular Checks, about overall Safety and Standards are upgraded with quick results, following!

Don't live here. Windows don't shut completely. Walls have poor insulation, making units extremely cold during winter. Cracks in walls. No units have sink garbage disposals, management unresponsive and ignoring all requests. Avoid at all costs. There are many other better apartment complexes in Westlake

DO NOT MOVE HERE! No seriously, the recent reviews have not lied. I didn't even move here because TRYING to move was a complicated process in and of itself. Kim, the Property Manager, is horrible. She cannot keep staff and constantly has to find someone who can do the work for her because she literally does not work. When asked what units she has available and the timeframe, her response would be "check the website." I'm sorry, what??? Isn't it your job to provide us with that information? She communicates with her staff via post-it notes and never reaches out to the prospective tenant HERSELF because she plays this communication game of letting everyone else provide the info, but her. Her staff is new and are not yet equipped with all of the information that a tenant would need to know. So, they would defer to the Property Manager a lot, which is not a problem. But the Property Manager isn't even helpful. She would literally act so rude as if asking for information is something strenuous on her. Don't waste your time or money. So glad I'm not considering to move here anymore. They didn't pass the vibe check for the application process so they definitely would not have passed the vibe check to live here!!!!!!! This place is only good because of the location. Otherwise, avoid Kim at all costs. She's a horrible person to work with. I dodged a bullet!! Luckily, I still had time to renew my lease at my apartment. Otherwise, I would have been stuck with the worst management team ever.

Great living but terrible maintenance. Don’t recommend being here for long based on experience . Had cockroaches coming from my bathtub. Maintenance comes and says they can’t do anything about it. My closet has fallen for weeks and no one has come to fix it. I called them and they said it’s based on the needs that are more important. Okay so let my clothes be on the floor. Terrible service.

I do not recommend living here at Hunters Chase at all. The management is the biggest problem with this place. They are not very helpful, and everything is difficult and not easy.To be more specific, they gave me the hardest time moving in (because I was relocating from a different state and my move date had to be postponed a couple times), they were not very accommodating and canceled my application and made me pay for a new application fee. They assigned me a garage that was already assigned to someone else and as I came home on my first night there, the garage was occupied, it was snowing like crazy and there were no parking spots anywhere. I had to park really far and walk to my building in the middle of the storm. It was horrible. Oh and they failed to mention that it was a shared garage.Issues with the apartment and buildings:1. Buildings are very old and floors are uneven.2. The AC is super loud. I complained about that and maintenance came and “fixed” it but they didn’t really do anything, and now I can’t have zoom meetings at home because of the sound of the AC.3. The hallways are not very well kept and are sometimes smelly and there are stains on the carpet.4. The water pressure sucks! Forget about taking a good shower in this place.5. There is not a safe package room. Losing packages and packages being stolen is something you’ll have to get used to if you live here. If you don’t believe me, ask to take a look at the residents portal, all the posts are about missing/lost packages.6. You can only use the clubhouse during office hours. They kick you out when they leave.Bottom line is, management is not at all flexible. It is EXTREMELY overpriced. But the location is nice and maintenance is good.

Current resident. I moved in sight unseen from positive reviews from family and friends that have lived here. Big mistake.I've notified management of this several times over the course of my lease from the past year and they've done nothing about it. Maintenance has closed my requests without even contacting me or visiting my unit. I work from home and am at my apartment 99% of the day so any claims that they have attempted to correct this problem are false. The entirety of 1421 Trotters Ridge Lane and adjoining units in the same apartment block have an extreme termite problem. At first I thought they were carpenter ants, but they cause far too much damage in too short a period. They also actively seek out wooden furniture in my apartment. I've had carpenter ants in the past, and they do not behave this way.Almost all of the molding in my apartments dining room is eaten through where it meets the floor of the unit. The flooring that adjoins the screen door has signs of past infestations where they've burrowed through the ground underneath the door. I've patched it up with silicon caulk to prevent other insects from coming through, but it clearly is not working.Hunters Chase has attempted to treat them when they are called out on it, but they do so with fogging (I've seen it first hand in two apartments since moving in), which only drives them to other units. It seems they have no interest in properly addressing this problem. It's in the lease that Hunters Chase accepts no responsibility for damage to personal belongings inside apartments caused from basically any source. So I guess I'm just out $6k in furniture that I purchased less than a year ago as well as all of my other significant investments I've made that I now have to abandon. This should be the management companies responsibility to correct, but given the enormous and sweeping hand-waving of any responsibility in the lease and the fact that I've seen them treat apartments before just by fogging them, I do not believe that management is committed to taking this problem seriously.I'm at my wits end and I am currently in the process of deciding whether or not I want to abandon all of my belongings and move elsewhere.

I have been a resident at Hunter's Chase since November 2020. I absolutely love it here. Maintenance has been wonderful every single time I call. Andrew and Wilkins were here to replace a screen door and an air filter on 4/28. Even though the request was not an emergency, they were on-site and had the issues completely fixed within a couple hours of submitting the request. They were friendly, courteous, and efficient. Love these guys! They are always pleasant and smiling when I see them out and about, even in frigid winter conditions. Along with the beautiful grounds and apartments, the staff both office and maintenance make Hunters Chase a place I am proud to call home!UPDATE 11/5/2021 - Google will only let me review Hunters Chase once but I had another great experience with Wilkens and Andrew. The original work request was to replace 6 tiles in the bathtub but they went ahead and replaced the whole wall. They did a beautiful job. It took a little longer than expected to get the tiles in once the request was submitted but that would be my only complaint. Wilkens and Andrew were friendly and polite through the whole process. They are a true asset to the hunters chase maintenance team.UPDATE 5/25/2023 - I had another amazing experience at Hunters Chase. I moved away for a year and then came back because the apartments and staff are so nice. Sadly, Wilkens is no longer on the maintenance team but Emil Puscas still works in the office as the leasing agent. This past week I had a digital piano delivered and panicked when it arrived because it was very heavy and I live on the second floor. I submitted a maintenance request for help with carrying it up even though that’s not a standard ask. Within 15 minutes Emil was at my door and helped me carry the piano up. As a leasing agent he went above and beyond to assist me. I was so grateful for his help. 5 stars for Emil. He’s kind, professional and responsive.

Lived there for 7 years and I really enjoyed my time there. Dolores was the best. She was always very pro-active, and she always helped me with any issues I had. I will really miss this place

I had a terrible experience with Hunters Chase apartments. I don’t think it is worth moving there and I think it is overpriced. I was supposed to move in last July, the apartment was not ready by any means. The floor wood is cracked, walls need painting, the fridge is broke, the hallway smells very bad. despite requesting to eyeball the apartment 10 days prior because I was concerned and raised up my concern if the apartment would be ready on time as there was only 11 days between me moving in and prior tenant moving out, they refused me taking a look. They promised that 10 days is only what they need for maintenance and they have high turnover and maintenance guys are pretty good in staying on time. I was offered another unit but I didn’t like it and it wasn’t much better than the other one, I was very hesitant to give them more days to fix the apartment as they already didn’t show honesty and respect to timeline mentioned in the contract. Ethan- the manager- showed understanding my frustration and I ended up canceling the lease. Unfortunately I lost the unit I was living in as I already gave a leaving notice and for two weeks I felt like homeless looking for another place to move to before my lease ends. What a horrible feeling, therefore I would definitely recommend you see the unit and don’t be fooled by their model because it doesn’t truly represent the reality. I am not surprised if they responded “we checked our records and you are not a tenant at our place!”

I am a new resident here at Hunter’s Chase and the staff in the office have been nice to work with and very helpful. The apartments are luxury apartments and beautiful inside. The maintenance team is wonderful and knowledgeable to work with. Wilkins is absolutely AMAZING and made me feel right at home here with making sure items were fixed immediately when I reached out. He always followed up with each item either with a text or a call. I’m sad to hear that by the time I was able to get information as to the best site to post he has left. I’m sure he will be missed by many! What a great asset. Best wishes to Wilkins in his next endeavors!!

I have lived here for almost 3 years now. Great location but the property management is awful. It boasts meticulous landscaping and lush greenery! I find that very funny as the grass only gets cut after a heavy rain, the mowers leave deep muddy tracks throughout the green space and along the sidewalk and only cut part of the grass. The property managers always have excuses for everything and never follow up on complaints from noisy residents to lousy landscaping to the pool heater being broken for 2 years and forget trying to get to work in the winter if it snows as they only take a few passes and leave mounds of snow behind the cars in the parking lot! This summer they are raising monthly rent $400 per month. The location is great but the property management doesn't seem to care about its residents or the property, just the $$.

I moved in right before the pandemic in 2020. I renewed my lease for another 2 years because the staff and all maintenance crew are the best ever. I’m a senior citizen and the staff and crew are always accommodating me when I had needs. Wilkin in charge of maintenance, is the best! When he sees me around the complex he always asks if I need any thing. Even if he’s busy. I love living in an animal environment. All pets are welcomed.

I have lived here for two years and every winter I regret this decision. I work at the Cleveland Clinic and haven’t been able to get to work on time or at all any time it snows. Management has suggested we buy our own shovels to clean ourselves out. Today alone multiple cars were stuck and were needed to be pushed out. The maintenance crew is always nice and helpful, they just need more support from management. This is just unacceptable especially when there was so much notice about the state of this snow storm. You can’t have people shovel the whole lot to get out with Amazon shovels … that’s a ridiculous ask and you can’t ask people to stay home when they are essential to care. This needs to change.

Didn't even get through the leasing process and the experience was horrible. Applied for an apartment on the market and was told if I applied that evening it would be reserved for me so long as I got approved. Fast forward to 24 hours later, my credit is run, I'm approved with all appropriate documentation turned in, I get sent my move in costs breakdown, a congratulations email from Ashton the leasing consultant (who no longer works there apparently). Then I get a call from the property manager Delores who tells me that apartment actually got taken off notice after I had already been told I was all set for move in, but they have a different apartment for me. Okay, sure. However, this apartment is not only NOT on the 3rd floor as per my preference, it will also have different finishes, countertops, and NOT come with a fireplace - AND I'm paying the same price?? Also, none of your fees are refundable even after all of this.Moral of the story - if you want a specific apartment, the likelihood of you actually getting it is slim AND they don't care whether they've run your credit for a specific space. I paid THEM to waste my time and complicate my life for two weeks.

The office staff are 3 of the most amazing leasing agents I have ever dealt with. They Go above and beyond to ensure every resident is happy and has the best experience possible. They took hours perfecting my rent agreement to make sure the place was accommodating for my needs. I can confidently say the staff is probably the best in Westlake Ohio. Thank you Ashton, Ethan and Dolores.
