My family loves stopping in here often! We love to say hi to Spooky, the resident cat, and check out the huge selection of books! Lots to choose from, both new & used. Comic books & plush toys too!

I would never purchase a book here. When I visit my sister in the area my kids want to stop here every time. Although the selection is extensive, I find it hard to find particular authors or subjects. What mainly irks me is the books are priced exorbitantly high. Most used book stores that I'm accustomed to price a book based on a percentage of of its original retail price. Here the price is based on whether the book is a hardor soft cover cover, with exceptions based on if it is oversized or trade paperback. Both timesI have been here I found books I liked which were used, but priced over their original retail price. For that reason I will never shop here again.

Great local bookstore! It's Yellow Springs's equivalent to City Lights or Powell's. I'm looking forward to going back when I have more time to browse.

they have a great variety of plant/lgbt stickers and pins and cute magnets. found some pretty cool and unique books but there was not too much. also the kitty named spooky is so sweet and playful!! i will come back just to see spooky again. dave chapelle who? the only yellow springs celebrity i know is spooky.

We loved it there - and we will definitely be back. The people working there were very nice to my son. Awesome selection of books. Plus, we got to meet Spooky the cat, which was certainly a highlight!

This is the best little bookstore around. I've been coming here for 35 years or more. Super friendly staff, humongous collection of books and a friendly fat black cat to pet.

Super fun used book store in downtown Yellow Springs. They have a heavy sci/fi fantasy theme, which was fun, and a variety of used books with great prices penciled into the front cover. There was also a really nice selection of adult coloring books and puzzle books, and if I didn't have a stack of coloring books at home, I would have picked up a few! There is a black and white shop cat and friendly people at the counter. In the summer, I've seen them roll carts out onto the sidewalk. You can certainly spend some time in here!
