Such a gem! This is a stop worthwhile! The hotel is beautiful in itself , but then the museum adds to it. Every room of the hotel is filled with neat things of gone by years. Great history of the county. Each room has a theme. It’s a must see!

I enjoyed wandering through this local museum very much. It gives one a glimpse of life 70-125 years ago. Some interesting exhibits! The rune stone exhibit is worth seeing.

Very nice museum at the historic site of the Lowery Hotel. This site has been entered into the National Registrr of Historic Places. The museum has an array of standing exhibits, as well as numerous touring exhibits throughout the year. The museum is clean and well-kept. There's a piano in the lobby area. The museum has a lunch on the third Tuesday of each month, which offers an opportunity to meet people and support the museum.

Very interesting place in a small town. Poteau, Oklahoma. Free admission to a 3 floor exhibit. First hotel to have an indoor plumbing for toilets we were told. Have many rooms with themes from space to early pioneers. Near the museum is the last successful bank that Bonnie and Clyde robbed. Enjoyed the museum/hotel.

We were out for a drive and happened onto this free (donation optional) museum. The ladies were very informative and helpful. Each room of this former hotel covered a different historical era. The runestone room was really intriguing. Glad we went!
