This is an outstanding museum with much more on display than just art. There are several items on exhibit that can only be seen at the Mabee-Gerrer Museum. It is also home to "Tutu", a beautifully preserved Egyptian mummy. Their exhibits rotate on a regular schedule so if you haven't been there in a while, chances are there is something new for you to see. The helpful, friendly staff enriches the experience too. A must see off you are in the area.

I absolutely love this place. I lived in Oklahoma for more than a decade before I found out about it and now I can't wait to go back again. I had originally gone just to see the Egyptian Mummy, I didn't know they had so many wonderful objects to share. I even picked up a souvenir at the gift shop to remember my 1st visit to the museum. A little Egyptian cat figurine.

A great small museum. I enjoyed the story of Father Gerrer, his paintings and his collections from all over the world.

An amazing and enigmatic experience it feels like a giant time machine.Much of the artwork that is here is rare beyond imagination. This museum is tucked away and has been here for 100 years. The staff are amazing courteous and professional. Really enjoyed our visit.

Small museum but nice! Didn't get to see all of it because we came for the mummies! They had so many activities and things to do that we didn't get any further but we made a day of it and had a great time!

It's a small but intimate museum with lots of art. It does feature a few Egyptian mummy's. It's very peaceful and and a few artifacts date back a few thousand years with one dating back 8,000 year ago, circa 6,000 b.c.e.While checking out this museum, in which admission is free during the months of June, July and August (2022), don't forget to check out the Monks Marketplace within walking distance or a 1 minute car ride. They offer homemade candles, soaps, cuts if beef raised on their own cattle farm, their very own peanut butter and honey.

An incredible collection of amazing artifacts right in Shawnee, Oklahoma. From Oklahoma’s only ancient Egyptian mummies to shrunken heads and beautiful art pieces, you’re guaranteed to learn so much! It’s truly a hidden gem.
