So I thought the new ownership was going to make this place better. Went here this weekend and they now have a cooler size limit. My cooler is average size and actually floats better than their rafts. They made us empty our stuff into trash bags because they wouldn’t let us on the bus with the cooler. We’ve been going multiple times this summer with this cooler but now it’s a problem. I guess they expect you to bring just a lunch pale. Done going here to float. You all don’t even sell coolers in your shop. So stupid. Going somewhere else next time.

This year the resort bragged about being under new management, but my group was not impressed. The resort doesn't pick-up people from their campsites anymore (or at least they didn't that day) which forced all the people to checkin to start their float trip during the same time frame on Saturday morning. After waiting 2+ hours for a bus at the resort, we finally got a bus to shuttle us to the river to get our raft, only there were no rafts. We waited another 1.5+ hours in the sun by a random river bank to finally get a raft.My group is awesome, we made the best of our trip. However, due to the delays of the resort, my group wasn't able to enjoy the river float like previous years. We couldn't prolong our swimming moments or picnic on the side of the river whenever we wanted. Since we began so late, there was an underlying worry of not making it back to the resort by nightfall or 7 PM - which the resort reminded us we had to be back at the time or we get charged a fee.Campsites didn't have portable restrooms like last year. The only available restroom was by the resort, a small walk from the sites. However, the toilets often didn't flush and had no tissue. The last day, they were completely overflowing. Not sure I'll be back.

This place is the worst resort we have ever been to. We camped here and floated to. For the entire trip the bathrooms overflowed and had raw sewage on the floors. There was no hot water ever. We asked the front desk gals multiple times for toilet paper & paper towels— no answer— and if there would be hot water in the bathrooms —no answer—&or if the bathrooms would even be cleaned—no answer—……. Saturday the day of our float, was miserable—we waited for 4 hours after check in the sun to get on a raft with four children, then it was time to begin our float after all that….. very unorganized and understaffed. The only man who was helpful to us “Eric” this man needs a raise—he’s a gracious man and helped our family out With our coolers even!! If not for him; we would have never made it.If you want a good place to go with your family and children, I would suggest just down the road is arrowhead, go there. So much better. This place has no idea how to run a campground or float. And forget asking for a refund, it won’t happen either!! It’s a JOKE!!! DON’T come here or spend time talking about it, just move along. You’ve been warned.

It was extremely busy, and I feel like they overbooked themselves. We got to the place at 8 and didn't get on a bus till 12:30. When I asked a staff member why it was taking so long, she replied by saying I dnt know. I just work here. They are extremely unorganized they kept putting new clip boards on old ones so people that were first kept getting pushed to the bottom, and people who just showed up were getting to go first. My husband talked to one of the bus drivers since the staff in side were no help. The bus drivers were the only ones willing to help my group of 9. The bathrooms are big but were not well kept, broken toilet seats, and not flushing and some overflowing. You could smell them outside while waiting, and it was not a pleasant smell. Spent more time waiting to get on the bus then on river. The bus drivers were the only good part about this place.

We stood in line for over an hour after we had paid and done everything online this was just for check in! Then We waited a total of 3.5 hours from arrival until we got on water! Did not get on the water until close to 1:00pm had the 12 mile trip arrived back to destination in dark we had got held up and stuck on a tree after our other members raft hit huge rock that we couldn’t see do to the darkness! Very dangerous no one came looking or was waiting upon arrival!!
We also called at facility mind you all reservations and payments were completed weeks prior upon arrival electrical box wasn’t working for our camper we tried calling management several times no answers so sat for over and hour waiting for someone to help us so we could get hooked up. We won’t be back

My husband and I have come here for years and we were nervous to come this year bc of the recent reviews. But I have to say, it was just as great as it's been every year. We reserved an electric campsite for Friday and Saturday night, months ago. We arrived Friday at noon and the check was very easy. They had my reservation ready. They did mention the bus doesn't pickup at the sites like previous years which is a bummer but they told us to arrive at the office early, they open at 8am. We arrived to the site and immediately noticed they have been working on the sites (late night sites) and they now have water!! Huge plus!!! The bathrooms were clean. Yes there were bugs in the showers but its not bad, considering we are camping outdoors! We packed up the car on Saturday morning, checked in at 8:49am and they had us on a bus and on the river by 9:30am!!! Seriously the best experience!! They get extremely busy on the weekends and the groups can be huge, be patient and have your groups organized. It will help them and you!! Keep up the good work, Eagle Bluff. We will return.

We've been coming here for years. This year seemed to be one of the best. They are working on improving sites. We checked in on Friday, was in and out. The campsites have water now. Huge plus!! We arrived at the office before 9am on Saturday. It was hard to hear our name called but we got on a bus within 30 minutes. (It would help if they had a speaker with microphone for the bus drivers to call groups. And had a number system instead of names, it would be easier to hear) we got to the river fast and loaded on a raft within minutes of arriving. There were deflated rafts, be aware. Ask for a different one. Get there early. Have your groups together. And ask questions, if you're unsure. They are doing their best for how many people there are compared to staff. We will return. We have for over 5years.

The new management has a lot to learn. This past weekend was my 3rd year camping and floating with them and it was a stressful experience. The whole floating process was a mess. Instead of them having set times the bus would pick you up from your campsite like previous years they had everyone go check in at the main office. The person at the register would write on a slip of paper your name, group size and what float trip your on then hand the paper to another person to give to a bus driver. It was very disorganized. I waited in line around 40 minutes because there were people that hadn’t paid or signed their waivers. Once I got checked in my group waited over 2 hours to get on a bus. I finally had to say something to the person responsible for handing out the slips of paper to the bus drivers. I felt we would have waited longer if I hadn’t have said something. I’m giving 2 stars because my campsite was in a nice shaded area close to the bathrooms.

This weekend my friends and I decided to flat the river. What was supposed to be a fun and chill Saturday was anything but. We had a reservation for the 12 mile float at 11:00. We checked in before 11:00 am and was told it would be a short wait. We were constantly told “the next bus, it’ll be the next bus, don’t worry it’s the next bus”. Over 3 hours later of waiting and waiting and waiting we were finally bussed to the river. But that’s not the end of the wait because once you get down to the river you have to wait again for more rafts. It was over another hour before we finally got a raft and got on the river ( some groups had been waiting down there for 2+ hours). The company and their “kindness” offered to extend the time we needed to be back by two hours, however our float was over 4 hours late. So not only did we have to wait, we also had to rush our float to make sure we weren’t charged extra for their mistake and ultimately had to get off early. The new management has done a horrible job with this company and I HIGLY recommend looking anywhere else if you plan on floating.

Very unhappy with all the changes from new management. We were charged per person for camping, completely different from last year when we paid one fee to camp then per person to float. We waited over 2 1/2 hours to float, they dropped us off 2.9 miles from the resort instead of the 6 miles we paid for. My husband set the trip on our odometer and drove it to be sure. It was 2.9 miles) we were charged for 6 miles. Staff was incredibly rude to my teens when they went to the office. Very disappointed, we loved the way the previous owners ran it. It’s extremely unorganized, chaotic, and over priced now. Not to mention taking your money and not giving you what you paid for! We won’t be back.

As of July 2023, the new management is highly disappointing. I’ve camped and floated with this location a number of times in the past. So I have good reason for this review.1. We were told the late night sites were booked. But it was empty upon our arrival.2. Check in was slow (no big deal) but one man in particular wasn’t friendly or inviting.3. The bus driver stood and watched a group of women struggling to lift heavy coolers in the back of the bus and offered NO help.4. Bathrooms: no toilet paper, broken toilet seats, and just plain nasty.5. Office closed at 6:30. We couldn’t even get ice after getting off the water.Side note: sites c1, c2, & c3 in the family camp sites will flood with 4-5 inches of standing water if it rains.I won’t be back.

We camped overnight for 2 days over fathers day weekend this year and had a great time. We went floating and our bus driver, John, was so fun! Sean was very helpful when my online reservation didn't sync through to their system, and helped us get reserved. Bathrooms on campgrounds got clogged a lot, but the bathrooms by the office were just fine.

We floated here a couple years ago and it was really nice and clean. This Trip started off with our camp site not having any electric. I had to hook back up to my trailer and move spots! The day of the float we checked in and asked if we owed any more for the trip. They said yes 17 more dollars to float. We paid went on trip raft started going flat we wasn't sure it would make the trip. Bathrooms was dirty. We left number to report about it. On Monday i get a call saying we owed more money i explained to the new owner no we paid everything up on Saturday. He told us we owed $300 more then changed it to $578 now I had to file a claim at my bank because found out he charged my card without my permission! Don't float here!

We stayed in Elly's Barn. The cost was over $1200 for 2 nights. Outlets didn't work, AC didn't work, no shower curtains. The place looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the last group was there. On the second night the water stopped working around 8pm and didn't come back on until 930am. They only offered a $100 discount. The maintenance people were at least nice and worked to fix some stuff. The float is shallow and we didn't enjoy that either. There are other parts of the river that are much nicer. The barn has great potential but they need to do some minor maintenance. The owner was made aware and we were kind but he kept disappearing and we never actually saw him, just dealt with young adults with zero authority. The sign says under new management.....well..... still need new management.
