Jane and here team are so wonderful and helpful. Being given the opportunity to sit in on a class and see how they work was truly a fantastic experience. We are looking forward to seeing everyone soon with our puppy.

the best positive reinforcement fear free trainers ever, they are extremely knowledgeable and gracious with their time. I highly recommend Jane and her staff, my dog and I have learned so much.

This review is long overdue! We rescued a 4month old Shepard/husky from northern Manitoba. She was found in woods and needed a lot of love and training. Jane and her team taught us the skills as first time dog owners that we needed to build a strong relationship with Freyja. She was highly reactive and didn’t trust any people. After classes, pup camp and lots of support from Jane, Leeann, Corin and Heather we now have a dog that loves to snuggle with anyone, can play with other dogs and loves to learn new things. She is thriving in scent detection and may pursue competitions! Jane and her team use positive reinforcement in their training and genuinely love what they do. (They are even a phone call away to walk you through some strategies on those tough puppy days when everything is going wrong lol!!) Freyja will continue her learning through the many programs Jane offers and will continue to join pup camp for some extra fun ? thank you for all you have done to help support us with raising Freyja!!

In November 2022 we added a new lab puppy, Kayce, to our family. Kayce is a big boy with boundless energy, curiosity and zoomies! Many years ago my husband had 2 labs who had gone through training with Jane. Both Coal and Scout were amazing, well mannered dogs so I booked Kayce in for junior puppy classes hoping to get some help on how to manage "GoodboyKayce".I cannot begin to recommend Jane Book Dog School highly enough. Mere words honestly can't do justice to the care, the attention, the positive reinforcement and the passion that each member of her team delivers at class and at camp. I, we have learned so much from the patient, caring advice and hands on learning that we continue to do with Jane, Leann, Corin, Catherine and the rest of the team.Corin, Catherine, Leann and Jane are all incredibly patient with us owners who only want the best for our dogs so they will be well mannered, happy members of our families and our community. On a personal note, with all the years of experience that Jane has had dealing with a wide variety of dogs, she was able to notice that Kayce had a lump that didn't sit right with her. She suggested that I take Kayce to the vet to get looked at. Thank goodness that I brought him the next day to be looked at.Kayce had an extremely invasive tumour that had spread and wrapped around muscle and was half way through his stomach wall where it would have attacked his organs. He would not have survived. Kayce underwent an intense surgery followed by a long recovery and is in amzing health now. All thanks to Jane Book!

My partner and I did two sessions with Jane with our puppy. Jane and her staff are passionate about what they do - no doubt about that. I did feel that we spent a lot of time seated and listening to instruction. I expected there would be more chance to work with our dog and learn hands on. As a result, I felt I spent more time trying to get my high energy pup to settle so I could listen (so many treats!!) Also, Jane is a straight shooter. Sometimes I felt she was condescending to her students (she claims it's humour) and I left more discouraged than encouraged. At the end of the day, I think Jane is great at what she does and she cares - and group lessons aren't for us.

Puppy class - small class, which is great.Jane is no non-sense teacher. You do have to practice practice practice and do your homework.Definately will be back for more classes.

This is a school that teaches valuable skills, with a lot of heart. We are first time dog owners and there is no way we would have been equipped to deal with puppy life without the guidance of Jane Book's school. We have a havanese who is extremely high energy and was very difficult to live with in the beginning. Corban instructed our Saturday class with clarity and compassion. Catherine was always at those classes offering support and encouragement as well. We were given life saving, practical activities that have made huge changes in our puppy's attitude and how she intereacts with us. We had a private session with Jane that was worth every penny, offering us real solutions to grooming and crate training that have completely changed our perspective on how to approach these crucial issues with my dog. I am so grateful I found Jane's school.

Very large classes of up to 10 +dogs and owners in small area . Chaotic. Not structured enough or with personal Dog focused lessons and demonstrations. Too much distraction for puppies .Didn’t work for us. Dropped out after 3 classes. Need a smaller personal class. Also, we sensed trainer is somewhat condescending with dog owners.
Better $$value with personal training.

Heather and Catherine's Junior puppy classes are informative and fun. Heather is great at creating a positive environment for the puppies and their families. She always has positive feedback and is very encouraging. They know their material and are very helpful. The program is a great start for a family with a new puppy and there are lots of options to continue training if you get bitten by the training bug. You guys ROCK!

I have a young dog and have found pup camp at Jane’s to be invaluable. I drop off my puppy and come back 3 hours later to pick her up. During that time the trainers work with her one on one to reinforce the training from puppy class and sometimes work on new behaviour. Plus, she gets a walk. When I pick her up I get a detailed report on what was done that day, how she did and am provided with feedback/suggestions.I highly recommend this program ????
