Moving forward we needed to become compliant with the BAO. Our case co-ordinator Seeta was professional, kind and very helpful.

I today had occasion to contact the BAO requesting they email me a specific document. Within 2 hours I had received the document along with a pleasant covering letter from their staff person. I have written that staff person expressing my appreciation for their promptness, courtesy and professionalism.

Open Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Closed on all statutory holidays. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) is a government delegated authority and not-for-profit corporation. Responsible for protection of the public interest, the BAO regulates, ensures compliance with the law, provides resources and services to licensed: - Funeral establishment operators, directors and preplanners; - Cemetery, crematorium and alternative disposition operators; - Transfer service operators; and - Bereavement sector sales representatives across Ontario. The BAO is wholly funded by licensee fees (not tax dollars).
