Best experience I have had eating out in Eugene maybe ever. The team work and attention to detail is amazing. The own and bartender and waitstaff make the experience seamless! You much go!

The wait staff wasn't super attentive but they were short handed so very understandable. The food is great, beer is cold, and their nachos are the best I've ever had!

10000% RECOMMEND IT! We we're traveling from Cali, with a 4 year old hungry daughter but didn't want to grab a McDonald's soooo i turned to yelp, and boy am I glad I did. The service was great & the food is amazingly delicious! I had the soup of the day + the peanut chicken bowl. I honestly wish I had a bigger stomach so I could have finished it all. It had so much flavor. My husband's had a burger & again finger-licking good. And as for my daughter we ordered her the Mac and cheese, which she loved but had enough left to take home (luckyyy!) We had the opportunity to meet the owner, she was so sweet & welcoming. I wish we could have taken cafe 440 in our suitcase back home.

Great lunch! I had the turkey bacon panini. It was great. My lunch mates had the Cobb salad and they loved it. The owner was very appreciative of our business and supporting local businesses. He came up to us and told us directly. The service was wonderful. I'm sure he is struggling like most places to hire people and he was in the trenches with his team helping seat customers and serve them. Very impressive.

Overall, the food is good, drinks are always good. If however, you are a person of color there is a strong under-current of racism within the restaurant. The last time I went there were 2 of us, women of color, (we did not come together) and it was clear our presence was not welcome. The staff and manager/owner were rude, lacking any courtesy when delivering cocktails or menus. During the lockdown, like all restaurants, they struggled and I supported them 100%. Now as the restaurant fills, money from those of color is welcomed, but not the smiles or courteous attitude. As a senior, I'm saddened that this is part of our community. Good luck to them in the future, but I refuse to give money when my color, not my heart and smile, determines how I will be treated.

Cafe 440 is a great place for lunch, it's a pretty busy place to and for a good reason. The food, wait staff, and environment is quality. The wait was not long we came for lunch around 12:30 PM. Once we say the waiter came offered us the special, and we got some drinks ordered and had a chat. Our server came back and we ordered our food. From order time to take was fast, and the server was also a bartender and was still able to manage other tables and get us refills. Mad props to this guy!!The Food!I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Pasta, amazing but I will order it next time without the tails. The meal comes with seven large shrimp all seasoned with Cajun seasoning, this was not spicy for those wondering. I would rate the pasta top 10 best seafood dishes I've ever had.My wife she is a tried and true pulled pork girl. She always shares which I'm always greatful. My stance on PPS meals are one of two ways is it pre-sauced, or not sauced and it comes with a sauce. This case the pork was season and was lightly sauces and I like that so I can see how the actual pork is flavored. The sandwich is in my top 15 for pulled pork. The sandwich was actually pretty big for a lunch sandwich "NO COMPLAINING HERE". Served with some quality fries, the whole mad ranch was tops.We also went with the desert this time around. It was a lemon raspberry cheesecake that was perfectly balanced and was not over done with the lemon. The raspberry was also light so the combined created flavor is what made this desert something to right home about. Our total bill without tip was around $50, for two meals, two drinks (Pepsi products), and desert. If you need a good lunch take yourself to cafe 440 it's worth it.Also ranked in Eugene best macaroni, best Business restaurant.

The first time I visited I wasn't sure. Surprisingly, it took about two minutes for someone to come to seat us (two minutes doesn't sound long but time it and you'll see). The place wasn't full, and my mom wondered if maybe they were closing soon because of how long we waited. It's a nice little café located near Oakway Center on Coburg Road. They have a pretty good happy hour, which is probably what I'd stick to when visiting (their prices can be a bit high for my taste). But I have had the teriyaki meatballs, which are delicious, and I've heard that their salmon cakes are yummy (I'll have to take my friend's word on that one). They have a not too bad selection of seafood items for those who dig seafood. However my favorite, by far, are the BBQ pulled pork nachos. They're unbelievable. The ingredients are fresh and plentiful--this is a big plate, and can serve as a meal if it's not eaten as an appetizer. I didn't know that I liked pulled pork until I tried these but went out on a limb because they looked so good anyway, and wasn't disappointed. And it may be in the preparation--a friend and I had pulled pork fries at Falling Sky shortly after this, and they weren't nearly as good. So the seasoning here is just right. Mom had the knee deep burger and said it was good. I had the soup of the day (tomato, bacon, and bleu cheese) in addition to the nachos we shared, and it was good, too. One thing to be aware of is that if it's cool outside, you don't want to have them seat you near the door. This restaurant doesn't have two doors, so as soon as it opens you're hit with a gust of cold air that makes dining rather unpleasant. I've been there twice when we were seated at different tables near the front (one was the first table just along the windows; the other was the first half booth/table opposite the bar) and both times it was jarring. I don't know if temporary winter vestibule enclosures are allowed in Eugene (I never saw one until I moved to Chicago) or just have never been a thing here in my hometown, but if so maybe they'll look into it for customer comfort.

Do NOT sub chicken for shrimp!! We came and ordered 3 cajun pasta dishes. My mom kept it shrimp and my daughter and I asked for it with blackened chicken. This was a HUGE mistake!! The order was entered as "sub chicken" and it changed the entire dish. My mom's cajun shrimp pasta came out GREAT! The flavor on shrimp and pasta was so good! Ours came out like alfredo though and with diced grilled chicken--ZERO cajun and no blackened chicken. When I sent mine back to get it like my mom's, they sent me back an alfredo dish with grilled shrimp and still ZERO cajun seasoning. This was extremely disappointing because my mom's dish was really good and I wish I could have eaten it. Not sure if the dish is made inconsistently each time or if the staff was just upset with me. I want to go back, but too scared I will not get the Cajun seasoning. DO NOT ASK FOR ANY SUBSTITUTIONS IF YOU GO. Storm (waiter) was very friendly.

Beautiful location with huge windows, nice interior colors. Crystal, our server, was pleasant and efficient. The Cajun shrimp pasta was full of more than enough shrimp, the cream sauce was delicious and the parmesan flavor really came through. The peanut chicken bowl was a more narrow combination of flavors, but a nice range of textures and the peanut flavor did not overwhelm - it was pleasant enough but not as satisfying as the shrimp pasta. Overall well worth it and a nice meal out.
