The patient care and service have been TERRIBLE! I call my PCP, and nobody ever returns my call. In the past few months, nobody even answers the phone. I'm told they don't have the staff to do that. In addition, I've called numerous times over the last month to get my regular prescription refilled, but nobody has ever contacted my pharmacy and I'm completely out. Several messages to the office manager still haven't resolved this issue. I'm assuming the staff may be overworked. but it's frightening that I can't get care, a return phone call, or a prescription refill.

I have to get bloodwork done every 3 months and the staff is always wonderful. They are careful and considerate...always gentle and know how to stick you without a lot of pain. I have small, slippery veins and they never fail to hit a good one at first cast.

They tried to hide their awful medical care by sending a Christmas card after blaming my disability. I will sue them if my problem worsens due to their negligence. They didn't prescribe the medication to me or three other people ahead of me. Stop blaming the patients! If you start taking accountability, you might get something done. I am ill, I am not a doormat.

I Highly recommend the Providence Medford Medical Center. Over the years I have had several surgeries. And have been at the emergency room a few times also. The doctors & nurses have always been very attentive and helpful. When I was in the hospital I can say the food and selections to pick from were very good. I can't say enough how much I appreciate the Providence Medford Medical Center. As soon as you drive onto the grounds you can feel a calm come over you. The hospital is designed to give you a feeling of peace. The facility is easy to get around in. The grounds are well manicured with plenty of flowers and beautiful shrubs and trees. The facilities and staff are exceptional are top notch. THANK YOU

Seriously one of the worst experiences I've ever had in a hospital. I went in with a spinal injury. And if anyone reading this knows anything about that pain, I was in Tears. I asked for any assistance with my discomfort, and was presented zero options. They told me to simply wait. So we did. 3 hours later. I'm on the cold hard flood in tears from the pain and they come out to take my vitals and to tell me that there will be no rooms available for an undetermined time. And that they couldn't do absolutely anything for me. Overall, for an ER the employees urgency was absolutely missing. Nurses walking around on their phones, casually strolling around as of there wasn't a room full of people who needed assistance. Absolutely pathetic that you can't help a person out in excruciating pain!

The wait to get labs drawn was ridiculous now that they moved upstairs it takes forever we have been waiting for 30 minutes and have still not been called

IVE HAD IT ! Let's start in 2019 when my fiancé went in for a simple , go home same day Surgery, to have a cyst on the inside of his navel removed. They said he'd be done in an hour and when it's been almost 3 I started to worry, they told me the infection was bigger than they thought once they open him and he'd have to stay overnight. The incision ended up being nearly 6 inches long and they remove the entire ready of his Navel , they had a wound VAC installed to him To help him heal faster, but when the nurse came in that night and noticed it full of blood she gasped and said that shouldn't be like that. They only had one wound VAC tech who wouldn't be in until the next day. First thing in the morning she got there and you could see the panic on her face, they called the doctor into the room and he did an emergency cauterization of an artery the doctor had "accidentally" cut and left open. they literally threw his lunch off of the table told him to bite down on a towel and did it with zero anesthetic, the doctor said he would've lost enough blood in the next hour to die. We ended up being there for a full week, and all together his recovery took three months. And ain't funny health at first he didn't qualify for financial aid, but received a letter short after our visit that they'd be covering all costs. The thought of suing for negligence and malpractice was definitely on our mind but paying the nearly $30,000 bill also seems like compensation enough Now let's fast forward to last week when my six-year-old hit her temple on the corner of a table and got a good gash. One of three parties in the ER for nearly 5 hours before we were seen, then another 2 once in the ER and was told she'd need stitches . My daughter was very tired and very hungry at this point 11 p.m., so her father who was with her, asked the nurse if they could just glue on it and get them home . In fairness she did tell him there was a higher risk for infection with the glue but we are competent and familiar with injuries like this so he went ahead and made that decision. This is the kicker though the gash is a solid half inch away from her eyeball and somehow they managed to get medical glue in the right corner of her eye and eyelashes and now it's glued shut . She's too embarrassed to attend school and it's her first full week back in kindergarten since the pandemic hit. Simply stated I will never be returning to this hospital again I will never suggest anybody go there and will always recommend that if they do to leave immediately and go to Asante.

Had to pop into the ER during a trip up north- luckily the MDs were fantastic. I knew exactly what I needed and they were able to deliver. They were concise and fast in their practice and I was in and out. Exactly what we needed during our trip!

Let me start by saying I use to love providence until it comes to me getting the work and the right medication I need for starters I had a miscarriage yesterday and everything was fine they were semi quick I abs loved my nurses and ob but come to the second day after they send me home with internal bleeding inside of me the same day of my surgery happened literally as I woke up and they had discharge papers ready for Me and pictures of my stomach and can't even tell me wtf it is or what's going on all as Soon as I woke up still I go back bc I just cannot bare the pain I'm up all night long they expect 10 5mg of oxycodine to work for three different surgery's in my stomach like how tf so they prescribe me over the counter ibuprofen and Tylenol yeah I think it's time for ASANTE to get anew patient and providence to go f*** themselves as well as to Ally the lady who answers the phone around 430pm on 5-26-2020 rudest little girl you could possibly ever meet or talk with go f*** ur selves

When I moved from Nor Cal to the Rogue Valley ten years ago I was at a loss. There I was part of a large HMO group where I was very pleased, and had come to find they were not in Southern Oregon. Shock! Then 2014 my employers insurance agent added Providence as an option. I researched them, and decided give a try.. Best healthcare move I made. My Doctor Tom Deitweller had patience, he listened, and was concerned. He retired last month. But the overall feeling of confidence of this Medical Group extends way beyond. EVERYONE I have had to deal with is top tier quality. I had s surgery yesterday. Dr Davoll in Urology hosted, and the pre and post surgery staff have been amazing. I feel blessed with the whole team of Providence MEDFORD Medical Center, the Providers, and all the support staff. Thank You

Dr. Ho is a pleasure to have as my Mothers doctor for her past two hip surgeries. Doesn't waste your time and tells you what you need to know. Staff pleasant as well this second time around, specifically. Dr. Ho is the only reason I upped it to four stars though. Well why not give 5 stars? I almost did but the facility and everything I am taking into accounts equals the 4 stars, it's not a bad place by any means, but it is not in the top 5 hospitals I have been to. Used to deliver flowers in my youth so you get around to a lot of hospitals and start to compare them.

First, they are medically competent . . . but - these guys bill incorrectly. They do it consistently, but incorrectly. Every time my wife has an infusion I have to make about a half a dozen phone calls to Providence Medford, Providence in Portland (their billing office), and an assistance fund that picks up the co-pay on my wife's infusion. I don't know why Providence won't change and bill Medicare, then our supplemental insurance and then send an appropriately filled out official request for the co-pay from the assistance fund, but they don't. They never do. In the half dozen infusions that my wife has had they have not done it correctly once. Very aggravating they have all the information they just choose not to help us. Currently, they are sending us a bill nine months after the treatment. This is a repeat bill. They have said they were going to take care of this and it would all be taken care of and it isn't, obviously. Again!

I have had two surgeries here at Providence Medford Medical Center in the last 18 months: both required one-night stays. I have to say that everyone I met, from intake to discharge, was kind and helpful. Of course, when I was lying there overnight in post-op discomfort, I wished response times would have been a little faster but without someone standing in my room every single minute I doubt that feeling could have been avoided. My experiences have been positive and I would have my surgeries at Providence again - though I hope I'm done with surgeries for a while! Our family has had (too) many experiences with surgeries at major medical facilities up and down the West and I'd say we were satisfied with Prov.

I must say that I wasn't expecting this hospital to be tied to religion. It used to be called Sacred Heart hospital. And being raised a Catholic myself, I felt blessed to have found my grand-baby's pediatrician at Providence. Doc also helped my daughter seek help with breastfeeding and for new Mom's out there, go see a lactation specialist! They really helped my daughter with latching and explained so many things about what to eat to help stimulate more breastmilk. Great staff at Providence!

We are currently at the hospital. My wife had surgery this morning and the surgeon was the the only thing that was good about the surgery. The building itself is old and dirty. My wife had to wait in recovery for over 5 hrs while they figured out where to put her. She had surgery on her neck and kept coughing with a very sore throat. We asked for a cough drop, it took them over TWO hrs just to get her a cough drop. While in recovery we heard the nurses talking very loud and could literally tell you the names of the other patients in recovery and their medical conditions and their medicines and treatment while their. When. My wife got to her room one of the nurses turned to a friend visiting and proceeded to tell her my wife's prognosis and medicine she was on as well as her full condition. I tried to stop the nurse letting her know that she was not allowed to divulge that info and I was the only family in the room. The nurse gave me a dirty look and kept talking. I talked to the nurse again and laid into her about HIPPA laws, she seemed utterly clueless. I also went over all the HIPPA violations with a manager but who knows what happened. I would avoid this hospital at all costs. We want nothing to do with Providence Hospital ever again.
