This is one of the Best and most wonderful Rodeo in the world. This is some thing you should have on your bucket list. I got to see this Rodeo in person it was Amazing. They have it all Bulls Broncos . Team Ropeing. Native American poney race. Powwow. Concerts. Yes I recommend this Rodeo and Beautiful town . Hope I get to see it again some day. The locals make you feel welcome and like family. They have a carnival. Have both all of the town. And food both. Have every kind of Jerry ever made. Even Alligator . If ever in Oregon should stop in Penalton and see the sites

I did not attend the entire Round-Up. In fact, we were in town for other reasons, and decided to check out the parade that kicks off the festivities. It is a fun, hometown parade, and Pilot Rock really shows up too. We had so much fun for about two hours. The local Pendletonians are laid-back and friendly. We ran into several people we know from Walla Walla, where we live, I guess the parade is popular enough to draw a crowd from quite a large radius. They had every business in town, the police, fire, etc., plus the high schools and civic groups. There was lots of good music, lots of candy thrown around, and an atmosphere of celebration and good family fun. Even if you are not into rodeos, it is worth a day trip to go to Pendleton, bring your lawn chairs and get yourself set up on the route. Enjoy the parade then go to one of their great little lunch spots. There is a nice park downtown with a playground for the kids too, so they can run around before heading home. I have been to many hometown parades, and Pendleton's is definitely the best.

The Roundup Gift Store Illustrates what is wrong with what the Round Up is becoming, a destination for Colorado Coca Cola Millionaires. Prices are ridiculous and obscene. Went in to buy something for my girl and about the only thing affordable was a post card or a coffee mug. Really disgusted and disappointed. Meanwhile a tourist from out of town comes in and drops $1000 on souvenir clothing and another $350 on a blanket. This place used to be much more reasonable, in touch with the general public and reflect what the Roundup is about, real cowboys (and cowgirls) working hard and competing to demonstrate their working skills. This thing is going boutique. Management used to be nicer too. I won't be back and will be going to the rodeo in Albany. Too bad, this place used to be a fun place to visit. The whiskey is actually not that good either (Pendleton Whiskey), stick with Jack or Wild Turkey, the quality is much better.

I am so surprised there's not more reviews for this AMAZING event. This event is held at the stadium at 1205 SW Court. Pendleton, OR 97801 it's across from Pendleton Round-up and Happy Canyon Assn Offices. This is my first time to Pendleton and my first rodeo. There was over 16,000 people that attend the 106 year old event. Yes, that's right, it's been around since 1910. It's a really nice group of people that attend and an even nicer group of people that participate. I loved everything about it!! There are many colorful activities happening throughout the day. It starts at 1pm and ends about 5:30pm. There's Bareback Riding, Tie Down Roping, Saddle Bronc, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Bull Riding, Steer Roping, and Barrel Racing all on the grass arena at the World Famous Pendleton Round-Up Stadium. Additionally, there's a big Native American Culture influence sprinkled throughout the day. There are many events happening weeks before leading up to the Round-Up. I love their tag line "Let 'ER Buck". It's worth every penny! A MUST see!!
