They have a firm mask policy and limit the number of shoppers inside. That plus their fair prices makes this my new go-to for groceries.

I always feel so safe shopping here! Crowd control even at the busiest is strict if not even more so. I've always loved TJ since my first summer as an adult, and I've grown to love it more over time. I can get about 50% of my groceries here, and the other half from H Mart and Freddy for the brand name stuff TJ doesnt do well (drinks, fruits, seasonings, baking stuff, etc). Fruit is very expensive hereThe line does get very long during lunch time and after working (15-20min) so I usually try to get in before closing. Much of the stuff is gone by then though, but I'll still get most of my essentials. TJ frozen meals have seriously got me through busy lunches and are super tasty and cheap (got to pick the right ones tho). I recommend the vegetable dumplings, indian vegetarian dishes (none of the chicken ones), and the chili mac and cheese

I haven't been to TJ's since the beginning of the pandemic since the one near me has a line that goes around the block. So I tried this location and I'm so happy. Very short line and all my favorites!

Staff is Outstanding! Prices are amazing, but, honestly, the staff is what makes this Joe's the best on all of Oregon.

Occasionally, I have business that takes me to nearby the Alphabet District Trader Joe's store. Sometimes after I'm done I shop here. I have found some really good frozen foods to take Home for my Darling Husband and myself to have for our dinners. Trader Joe's carries their own brand of different items. Sometimes, I purchase a reusable bag to take my groceries home in. Also, there is a small parking lot but it fills up quickly. I recommend that you walk to this Trader Joe's store. There are a few Buses that drop you off close to the front door such as the 77 Bus. I've seen lots of different Bouquets of flowers for sale here over the years. There are Beers and Wines for sale if you are looking for some to take home with you.

A shout out to Trader Joe's on Cesar Chavez Blvd in Portland,Oregon for their awesome sense of social responsibility - the company's and their employees. I can't say enough about their protected Senior/disabilities shopping hour during the COVID-19 pandemic. This company requires social distancing, face coverings and take disinfecting their shopping carts and surfaces seriously. As a person with an underlying health condition, they have made it possible for me to safely shop. I have always been a big fan of my local Trader Joe's but have nothing but heartfelt admiration for their efforts to protect their customers and more importantly their employees. Thank you for being an exemplary example of social responsibility and kindness.

I used to come here all the time but since the pandemic, they've really went overboard on the precautions. Make you wait in line with coughing strangers, can't take your own bags, yelling and unfriendly rules.. Meanwhile Fred Meyer just lets people enter and buy the things they need without all the BS, and yet still no pandemic in Portland, it's like c'mon already stop making people wait in line just to get some yogurts. If your system worked Fred Meyers customers would be getting sick and you'd be saving yours.... but it's not doing that so just quit with this charade. .

What can I say, it's trader Joe's, I will definitely socially distance myself to shop at this awesome place.

I’ve always loved this Trader Joe’s, but went in today for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic. I was incredibly impressed with the health and safety precautions they’ve put into place in response to Covid-19. First time since this all began that a trip to the grocery store hasn’t been stressful. Tons of respect and appreciation for the folks working there!

Someone forgot a pack of beer on the lower shelf of their shopping cart. The TJ staff person ran into the parking lot trying to find them. What nice people.

I bought a loaf of bread here only to get home & realize it was moldy.

Local, orderly, sanitizing and fit for a fo COVID-19 provisioning. A convenient lu if you're feeling flushed. For those with a few cents, a cheese and meat plastic sleeve for under $3 is an option. The salted seaweed stack is a perfect snack at $.99. The Trader Joe's brand Natural Mountain Spring water for $.99 is 1.5 L (50.7 fl oz) of aquatic refreshment, with the bonus of a plastic bottle container that can double as a mouthwash spittoon. Bananas for $.25 a boomerang. How great is that?!

Great store but HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. I called to double check that elderly, pregnant, and immune deficient people were let early. But when I showed up I had to wait in a long line of seemingly young, healthy people- many not wearing masks!

I love Trader Joe’s, but I hate how much superfluous packaging items that are traditionally sold in bulk come encased in... Feels like I have to do a cost benefit analysis in my head every time I buy dried cranberries. They also have this weird enforced cheeriness vibe that makes me slightly uncomfortable checking out. Maybe I’m just not neoliberal woke enough to be shopping here yet.

It's the neighborhood TJs. All the products you love in a decent layout with a great staff.

Great store as everyone knows. occasionally heavy on plastic packaging and can't always find local ingredients.

Always friendly. Great place to go for meats and fruits and veggies. Prices are actually pretty good for fruits and vegetables and wines. You'll pay a premium for organic meats as well as their selection of boxed and frozen foods.

I love Trader Joe's for it's fun selection of delicious meal ideas, treats and beverages, but this location is always such a mess for parking. The small lot beside it can not handle all the hungry people looking to go inside, and the NW neighborhood is tricky for parking if you need to be out on the street.

In addition to fresh flowers each week, Trader Joe's meets my grocery needs. Their (reasonably affordable) selection of non-GMO and organic produce, healthy dairy/non dairy options, healthy premade meals, bakery goods, coffee, teas, condiments, beer, wine and snacks are consistently quality with unique and seasonal offerings throughout the year. All of that and friendly, knowledgeable staff. ❤️

The store let's you taste the cheese before you buy and they have a very good selection of cheese.

This store is yet another great place to shop. I have not been disappointed by a trader Joe's so far. The location is wonderful and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

I've loved this chain for years in San Diego, Seattle and Portland. Interesting items at decent prices. I've rarely seen busier employees anywhere than in these stores. I've long wondered just how the powers that be get them to work so hard in any of the locations I've mentioned. Only bummer is that I just moved from Portland to Gresham and they refuse to open one in that suburb of Portland. Sigh.

I come from a land of no Trader Joe's (Hawaii) so of course, any Trader Joe's is a win for me. I walked out with over $200 in goods. LoL. Yes, call me crazy. Not everything I bought was for me though. Honestly, why isn't there a Trader Joe's in Hawaii? So many items were priced in the $1 ~ $3 range, it's so affordable! My favorite items are the truffled Marcona almonds and the giant corn nuts. Nom. Grab a bag or two and thank me later.

Who doesn't love Trader Joes!? Everything Is so yummy and looks like it would be so expensive, but it isn't expensive at all! Very affordable... staff is always helpful and friendly

It is so busy that sometimes I just don't want to shop there because it's such a tight fit, a bit overwhelming. It's not conducive to casual shopping whatsoever. Shopping carts are really difficult. I like the Hollywood store better, but that's further away. Layout is easier to maneuver.

We made a very brief visit to Trader Joe's, as I had a Dr. appointment shortly. I was impressed with what I did see. A woman at the doctors office said she actually used to work there, and she was telling us all the good things to buy. Can't wait to get back there

I have three complaints for Trader Joe`s 1.Why is parking so hard to find? Even though I know there is a very good reason for that, and even if they increased the parking lot, it will still always be full. 2.Why do they have to come up with such great snacks and foods? I mean how many snack cupboards do I need to have in my house now? 3.And Why do all the memes about Trader Joe`s only include Millennial's coz isn't that place loved by everyone? Very well stocked, fresh produce, great prices and great customer service. They have some great products , few of our favorites are -Everything but the bagel seasoning and spread , Sweet Corn- Burrata, & Basil Ravioli, Malabari paratha ,Vegetable masala burger patties , cauliflower gnocchi , Brownie Crisp Coffee Ice Cream Sandwiches, Mango and cream bars.I am sure I cant recall a lot of other stuff that I have loved here however with the exception of a handful of things every purchase and find has been fantastic. They stock a lot of great wines as well that are reasonably priced. Love the potted plants and succulents that come in cute pots. The only thing I find inconvenient is that you have to walk around the store many times before you can locate the product that you were looking for, so maybe a better arrangements or display of signs would be useful.
