I would give them zero stars if I could. I've deposited countless checks into my account at this branch and all of a sudden they can't accept them?!? Claiming the business name doesn't match however I turned in ALL needed paperwork when I opened the accounts. "Personal Banker" Alex M needs to go back through customer service courses too. He has a shitty attitude and seemed to be on a power trip! I'll gladly take my business elsewhere now.

I liked the Asian gentleman at west Salem, he was always nice and helpful but I heard he's working at another Chase bank on Hawthorne.West Salem bank now days seems so worried about policies and rules (I've been banking there for 13 years) that they've forgot their customer service.

3 banks in a row, Chase, a national company was the only one that shut down early. Don't bank here if you work a 9am - 5pm.

Don't ever bank here. Walk away... more like RUN away!!!! If I could give zero stars I would. Go to the Chase on South Commercial and Madrona. Much nicer staff and actually competent!!! Also, don't even ask for the manager, Steve. He's worthless. So is the personal banker, Gersin. They both gave me the runaround for months! Will never step foot in there again.

They don't answer their phone and I can't leave a message. It just says to call back and then I am disconnected. However, this happens each time I call, so I am not sure why they even give out their phone number. As far as I know, I need to make an appointment to get documents notarized and I can't make an appointment because no one answers the phone. I will now have to drive down to the bank only to be told that I need to make an appointment which I would if I can get hold of someone. Frustrated.

Have tried calling 3 different times today, about an hour apart each time. No one answers the phone.

The customer service here is the reason I decided to keep banking with Chase. I had some bad experiences with the way I was treated at the other chase banks in Salem. But I really appreciate the kindness of the people who work at this branch. I was shocked to see there were bad reviews about customer service. They definitely fixed whatever the problem was.

I went into the bank to cash a check and one of the employees named Desiree loudly announced personal information loudly announced the value of my check without any concerned for my safety and protecting my personal information as well as me not getting robbed when I left the bank with a large sum of money. I made efforts to contact Chase corporate no one ever called me back it’s been three weeks finally tracked down the manager of this branch even though Desiree said she was the manager He said he would look into the issue and essentially just brush me off and told me what he thought I wanted to hear. This is very unprofessional of this location as well as chase corporate to dismiss someone’s private information as well as the safety of loudly announcing this person’s cashing a large sum of money and they walk out the bank with it. I would not recommend coming back to this location or dealing with these employees.

Do NOT bank at this branch! Their customer service is the worst. My father had a Trust Checking/Savings account with them and I was a co-signer and Trustee. When my dad's health declined, I was assured, after asking at least three times to three different bankers/managers at this bank, that there would be no interruptions with my dad's account when he died and that I would be able to continue to write checks, use the debit card, and transfer funds. For the past year, I had been handling my dad's accounts and paying all his bills. My dad died on 6/20/20. I wrote checks to the church for the funeral service, I wrote a check to pay for the obituary, I wrote a check to pay for the food caterer. And all three checks were returned for NSF. When I checked the accounts online, it showed my dad had a negative balance in both accounts of over $99,999,999,999.00. My dad had over $29,000 in both accounts the day he died. When I went down to the bank to find out what was going on, they said they put a hold on his accounts. Yet I wasn't warned or notified prior to the hold. When I asked them why they put it on hold, they said they learned of my dad's death. They said they would not release the hold until I show them a death certificate. So they put it on hold without a death certificate, but won't release it until I do show a death certificate....Getting a death certificate during COVID restrictions takes longer than normal. While waiting for the death certificates, I learned that three checks were returned and the people I wrote checks to were charged $12 each. Then I find out the "auto payments" I had set up were being declined. So now I have late fees to pay. I finally got the death certificates and took a copy to the bank on Friday, 7/17/20. Yes, it took almost one full month to get the death certificates. Anyway, on 7/17, I was told by "Steve" the soonest I could meet with a banker was Tuesday, 7/21/20. I asked "Steve" if the bank could provide me with a letter stating why they put a hold on the accounts and explain that they would not release the funds until 7/21/20. I said that would help the people who had their checks returned to get their "Returned Check Fee" back. The letter would also help me get my dad's mortgage company to cancel the late fee since his auto pay was canceled without my knowledge. "Steve" said he would do that for me. So on 7/21/20, I go back to the bank to get the funds released. I met with the banker "Adam". Adam said they would not give me a letter as it was against company policies. I asked to speak with the manager and he said "Steve" was busy with customers. So the same "Steve" that told me he would get me a letter back on 7/17 is actually the manager? And he pawns me off to a "banker" to tell me they can't write a simple explanation letter? I can go on and on about how many times I was in this bank with my dad making sure we had everything prepared for the day my dad died. And what did we get? Crappy customer service, dishonesty, and cowardly management at this bank. I would NEVER do business with Chase Bank and I would highly recommend people to stay far far away from Chase Bank. I wouldn't even rate this bank with one star, but that's the lowest I can go.

Long story short, during this pandemic; Bree was so helpful and showed she cared about what was happening to me. This is a great bank to be with. Thank you to Bree, and the branch as a whole.

For what it’s worth, I had a painless experience here.
