The architecture of the building itself is worth the visit. Unfortunately the upkeep of the exterior surroundings has been let go.There are many talented indigenous people making art that have been and hopefully will continue to be sought after to show at the museum. The main attraction is the historical depiction of the three tribes that make up the Warm Springs confederation of which the museum presents well.I try to visit as often as I can.

I would put less than one if I could. We came twice (2h of driving) to visit this museum, we rescheduled our plans and everytime we found the door closed without any indication the museum was closed neither on the door nor on the website. I tried to call multiple times and they did not answer. People were in the office next door and when I knocked they didn't bother to come.I am extremely disappointed.

While small it packs a lot of history. I came here once 30 years ago. I was hoping to remember when I was there… but there is so much so more to see and learn. My husband never been and not the biggest museum fan but loved all the history he learned.

We drove from Portland on Saturday and nobody bothered to open up. No sign or info on the website that it was going to be closed. I guess the town of Warm Springs is so rich they don’t need any income, and people don’t show up to work…Very disappointing.

Great little museum explaining the history and culture of the local indigenous tribes. Unfortunately some of the exhibits didn’t work at our time of visiting but it was interesting all the same.Very quiet, I don’t think they get many visitors. On approach, the museum didn’t look open but we tried the big heavy door and it opened. There’s a little gift shop and toilets. No food or drinks available.

I'm interested in learning more about Indian culture and what's happening with Native Americans today. Let me break through all the hype here--this is a small museum that has not been refreshed in a while. And why should the peoples on the reservation bother--they are not teaching their young here. This is a place to pull passers-through in. There is a photo exhibit that I was really anticipating, but it is posed portraits of Native Americans in traditional dress--same background for each photo. I think this could have been much more dynamic, showing Native Americans in different pursuits and interests.

A great place to learn about thehistory and culture of the threetribes of the Warm SpringsReservation.A short film introduces you tothe way life of the native tribes. It is interesting to learn how thetribes gathered their food andhunted for game based on thedifferent seasons of the year. You will find an interesting exhibiton the preservation of ancientPictographs and Petroglyphs. The struggles of the tribes arepresented as the non-nativepeople started to settle inOregon and forced treatiesto move the natives off theirlands. The boarding schools were created to assimilate thetribes and deny their culture and way of life.A number of other exhibits explain the culture and stories of the tribes.Located near the Indian Head Casino on Highway 26 about thirteen miles from Madras.A nice place to spend an afternoon learning about the history, culture, struggles and the present state of the Warm Springs, the Wasco and the Paiutes tribes.

I can not rate this museum highly enough. My family very much enjoyed our visit here. We learned a lot. A big thank you, especially, to the lady who was working in the gift shop: by taking the time to speak to my daughter and teach her the legend of Tsagaglalal, you made her entire trip memorable.

A variety of exhibits, all informative and interesting. Spent a long time exploring this museum. The entrance cost was under $8 well worth it

Sorry to say I was disappointed in the museum. The outside trails not kept up same for the grounds around the museum. Inside paying customers couldn't even use the bathrooms. Only one film worked, displays not lighted up and none of the buttons worked so you could hear the story. Young man at counter couldn't answer any of our questions or why we couldn't use the restrooms. Would I come back again...No
