As someone who was born in Philly, but now resides in Minneapolis, I decided that I had to try a Lehigh Valley Cheesesteak during a recent visit to Allentown. Is it as good as the best cheesesteak Philly can offer? No. I thought the bread was not that great and there was not enough of the sauce , making the sandwich a bit dry in places. But was it good? Oh yeah, it was. Messy, too, which one expects from a cheesesteak. I enjoyed it but if you are from Philly and are used to a cheesesteak from one of your favorite places, it can be a bit different. For me, it was as close to home as I have been in a long time and I really enjoyed it

poor business decisions to close at 3 instead of 8 as advertised, 5 hours short, and before even dinner starts. one of the best cheese steaks in the valley, if you can actually get there before they randomly close

Pricey but still delicious cheesesteaks. Junior size cheesesteak was a large enough filling meal for me. Love the old Allentown historical pictures on their walls.

I have been eating Vince's Steak Sandwiches for decades. 806 Hamilton Street is just their most recent location... plus they always have a stand at the Allentown Fair. Shop is clean, well-lit, and the food is good & reasonable. They have a variety of Beef & Chicken Steak Sandwiches. They do not stay open late, nor do they serve alcohol. But if you are hungry for a casual lunch or dinner, this is your place. I have never had trouble parking within 1 block of the shop.

They have many different options of steaks. Anything possible you can get on your steak. The steak resembles ground beef.If your use to the philly steak, this is different. The fries are large but not the crispy type. Food is a bit pricey but common for downtown.
