This is where one can get a more in depth look as to just exactly how The Mercer Tiles are set into production & what tools, methods, & materials are used to create them! The final product looks incredible (it's also available for purchase)! The available & affordable Self-Guided Tour could be one of the experiences that changes your view of arts & crafts & sparks an interest in creating your own (which can be done by scheduling a class on the website) *THERE IS ALSO A GUIDED TOUR AVAILABLE ON TUESDAYS* All-in-all this is a MUST-SEE!

Went here with my mother and sister on a Saturday afternoon after visiting Fonthill castle. I guess because the tour at Fonthill was so well done I was slightly underwhelmed. (The gift shop is amazing and we did buy some tiles). They have you watch a 15 minute video filmed in late 80s/early 90s that, while informative, was mostly a repeat of what you hear at the Fonthill tour. You then take a self guided tour through the building, following signs. This was interesting and eye pleasing, but I would have much rather had a guide or more informational text along the way. At one point we did meet a very nice and informative man who answered some questions and allowed us to observe him pressing some tiles. Overall I would say this is a must see just for the craftsmanship. Staff was friendly and helpful all along the way.

The old tile factory is still up and running for visitors to see the process of hand made tiles. It's quite interesting. The old building itself is a joy to see but getting to see the artisans making the tiles and having the process explained was fascinating. I loved the old pictures of the workers when the factory was in full swing.

We spent about an hour watching the video and doing the self-guided tour. There is some lovely tile-work to see, and it was interesting to see some tile work being done by hand. It's a bit chilly inside, so dress accordingly.

Tiny shop full of whimsical tiles and decor. Loved everything inside. Great gift ideas for that person who appreciates fine craftsmanship.

Last minute discovery this place existed, so we did a U-turn and found this place easily. We didn't have time for a full tour, so sadly we just popped in to take a look through the windows and pop into the shop. I was in love with so many unique pieces! Obviously, the talent here is out of this world, and the shop only had a small sampling of the quality of work. Many of the pieces ranged from $20-$50, depending on the size, style and glazing. Some of the more unique pieces ranged upwards over $100 each.Well worth it for quality artisan work.

Awesome museum! I reccommend taking a guided tour for $10/person. Everyone is so knowledgeable and this place produces little waste.

Very cool place. Demonstrations on how this historical manufacturing facility has been creating craft tiles for many years. Informative and friendly staff.

American history lives on here. One of the last tile making factories in the US. You will see a short film about Mr.Mercer, an archeologist, and how he became a tile maker. The building is original, a little clumsy to navigate, but very worthwhile seeing. The workers will explain the process of blending clay, how it is moulded, fired and glazed. Have enough hands on activities to keep children interested. Extensive gift shop as well.

Stopped with my wife as it is just down the street yet we’ve never been. It’s a pretty cool little place with a self guided tour and live demonstrations by active employees. Not big but if you’re in town, worth a look.

I've driven past this place for years and finally on my 47th birthday I went with my cousin and my sister. It was an awesome experience. The place was chilly so dress appropriately. I did not! Lol but, the craftsmanship was amazing the architecture was whimsical the tiles were beautifully hand crafted. Great place and it was cheap! Can't wait to see the castle and the museum.

We're so happy to have this history filled business here in Doylestown! As renovations are finishing up on our home's exterior we realized that we need to replace our house number. Why not add to the asthedic value of our Bucks County home!? They had just what we wanted in stock and helped us extensively to find the right combination. Even picked up an extra piece that we liked.
