A hidden gem. Found it driving home on back roads to get around Harrisburg. A great selection of well-priced fruits, veggies, breads, pies, etc. We loaded up and will definitely make it a stop when we head back to the Bird-in-Hand area.

Hello all hopefully people are reading this. This nice traditional farm stand that has been around for years has been getting away with charging tourists dishonesty he has two prices one for local people and higher prices for those from out of town this has been going on for a long time I will be reporting him To the Pennsylvania Bureau of consumer protection . His family also does the same thing . His local people if you read his reviews will never have anything negative as you can see this is very hurtful and dishonest .

Most of the cashiers are very rude, and they always overcharge us. We've been going here for over 20 pluse years and it's only gotten worse.

Sweet people and casual hometown atmosphere. Those saying it's not the best place to get produce might be right, but there is still good produce to be found here. Anything grown locally is so marked. These folks don't try to pass anything off as local that isn't. They are a farm market. They are not a farm. So don't expect the same freshness as you would get stopping at a farm for your produce. They are just a quick, convenient, home town destination for groceries and produce. Like any small town, local convenience stop, they may be a little more pricey, but they aren't outrageous. Their baked goods may seem expensive, but they are not mass produced like Shady Maple's or Yoder's. They are all hand baked. You get what you pay for. Their pies and pastries are reasonably priced compared to other small bakeries in the area. $8-10 for a pie is not unheard of, nor is it unreasonable. So, seriously if you're camping or poking around the area for a day and you need a quick desert idea, a gallon of milk, sugar for your coffee or a couple hoagie sandwiches for lunch, swing in and talk to the sweet people at Horst's, where hometown hospitality meets main drag America.

Great little store with friendly workers. So much packed into the small space.
