We have been to drive ins all over around 20 altogether with most being in Pennsylvania. This is hands down the worst drive in we have ever been to and reading their reviews our experience lines up with what others have experienced. No butter for popcorn is sacrilege I mean come on do better people. The guy on the power trip in the golf cart is ridiculous, hassling people for the way they were parked and they were maybe 30% full. I watched him to do it some people and not to others breaking the same rule. Standing water on the bathroom floor they had to close the bathroom. Then the movie came on and the sound was messed up and kept cutting out. We left not even finishing the movie because we were so fed up. Instead of having permit Patty riding around enforcing rules that mean absolutely nothing, maybe you focus on the issues that make your drive in the worst in the state!

We decided to take our family here instead of dependable up near moon and big mistake! First off the entire staff here is rude as hell. Very short, not friendly, mouth breathers. Popcorn was stale for $10/bucket and the girl who served us would not stop picking her wedgy. She went diggen then got our popcorn…. My wife tried to use the bathroom and they said they have none and a porta john was up the hill. My wife couldn’t find it and came back and they said well there’s a green light on it but guess it should be brighter. I asked for some small trays to dish popcorn out to my kids and they initially said no we cannot give out anything until I asked for manager and she gave me 2. $20 for 2 cold stale popcorns which were prob left over from the night prior and I couldn’t get a piece of cardboard. This place sucks go to dependable!!!!

Generally a great drive in, but tonight was horrible. I went with the full intention of watching both movies. Before the movie started they closed both restrooms for what seemed like no reason, the movie started late and they literally started the move 5-10 minutes in. I can’t make this up, and for the next 10 they had the volume so high you couldn’t understand anything. Then they semi fixed that but it had this annoying thumping throughout the entire film. I just left before movie 2, completely ruined my time.

Worst drive in experience ever. First and last time at this theater. When we got there we were told to move, which wouldn’t have bothered me so much if it weren’t for the man in the golf carts attitude who said “if you would’ve read the paper you’d know where to park. By the orange poles” The poles were extremely weathered and in conjunction with the sun lowering it was even harder to see. Put aside this unprofessional interaction, we moved our vehicle and got ready to enjoy the movie. There wasn’t any butter for the popcorn. Okay, we got over that. Finally the movie starts and we’re tuned into the channel… the audio transmission was awful. No matter if it were the vehicle radio or portable. Any time there was action or music in the movie you couldn’t hear anything because it was so fuzzy and jumbled. We left after suffering through the first movie which we missed a lot of because we couldn’t make out the garbled dialogue. I wouldn’t recommend this drive in to anyone unless you want to be disrespected, not hear your movie, and waste your money. Waste of time and money. Very disappointed.

We will not be returning the concession stand prices are absolutely ridiculous. Especially for stale hot dog buns and stale popcorn which btw 14.99 is absolutely crazy. We got a total of 4 items here and the total was $50. Lesson learned.

So glad this place is still open! Sure beats going to the movies!
Prices are comparatively low and you get to see 2 movies for the cost of the 1 ticket. Concessions are pretty good, and lots of times have movie related merchandise. Audio comes through very clearly.
Only downsides were the parking: can be tight if it's busy and it's hard to see over trunk hatches if you're in the wrong spot. The other was the brightness of the screen. The clarity was great, but the screen seemed like it was dimmed somewhat.

Enjoy going to Brownsville Drive-In, but don't like that I have to go to Facebook to find out what is playing. I do not have an account with them and they won't keep the site up to find out what is playing before the Facebook signin comes up and I can't go down the page to see what is showing. So, I guess I will find another drive-in that has their own website that I can access.

I have never been to this drive in until recently when we went to watch Lilo and Stitch. What a horrible experience. I will never go back. First, I was asked to move my car my numerous times by a staff member but for unknown reasons. But the owners posted on Facebook that they had over 300 cars there, and that was true given how many people they let in and let them park in the roads. No one was in even lines. You were blocked in where you couldn’t get out. Cars were parked so close together that I don’t know how people could get in and out of their cars.
I waited in the concession stand line for almost 2 hours. The stitch merchandise was what most people wanted. When I finally got inside of the concession stand. Some teeny bopper staffe member wanted to go “scream at people” which was her exact words. But wanted to scream that they were sold out of stitch merchandise, but the owner stopped her because he said that wasn’t true, but stopped selling the merchandise. I later found out that was because he didn’t want people to get out of line. Once I finally got up to buy food, my order came to $25 and some change. I gave the girl with blonde hair and glasses $40. She gave me back $10. I told her that she did not give me the correct change and she rolled her eyes and ignored me until i repeated myself. After she finally gave me the correct change, her and her coworkers preceded to talk about me and laugh like as ignorant as possible. I mean if you’re going to work as a cashier then be a little professional and know how to count change.
Once the movie started, we were about a hour in the movie, when an emergency came up and I needed to leave. But when I tried to leave, I was unable to get out because of the road being blocked in. I tried to get out as quietly and as fast my as I could but when I tried another road I was blocked in again, and people all around me started screaming at me to turn off my lights. Which it was completely dark at this point and I could only shut off so many lights. But of course no staff was around to ask how to get out or what to do. Finally someone helped me squeeze out of the smallest opening imaginable.
I saw the owner posted a Facebook post about being sold out and I replied to a comment that said “I thought it was one stitch merchandise item per customer.” I replied and said “I thought so too.” The owner replied with ALL capital letters saying that had nothing to do with his post. And within 15 seconds, I was blocked.
Needless to say. I will never return. I will let everyone know my experience and encourage people not to go to this drive in. I wish the fire marshal could have seen how many cars they let come into a drive in that maybe has the capacity for 100 cars. And all because they were just greedy.

I’ve asked them several times regarding allergens. Not only did they not respond but then I had notifications they deleted my comment and my message. When someone tried to ask about bringing their own they said not allowed. Severe nut, dairy, egg and shellfish allergy that is anaphylactic shock in under five minutes to any of those. But they can’t bother to provide an answer if anything is safe but then say you can’t bring anything in either. Haven’t went and never will because of this. I’ve never had someone not willing to respond to being okay with us bringing our own due to allergies when they can’t accommodate.
