My husband and I had our taxes done last year by someone who incorrectly did them so we went to Jackson Hewitt in Walmart in Meadville Pa- since most of the taxes were done the young man quoted us $75 to redo them/ he proceeds to do them and when they were completed he charged us $185.00 - when questioned he said since this was the first time we had them done there it was that amount- we asked why he quoted us a different amount and he said he didn’t know the amount until they were completed. He said it is automatically calculated when the taxes are done - since the deadline was near we paid them- I immediately called Jackson Hewitt and spoke to a supervisor who agreed and was apologetic about the misunderstanding and said he would refund us $110.00- the difference that was quoted to us- he also encouraged us to use the tax service the following year and encouraged us to ask for him and he would discount our preparation- After weeks of waiting for the $110.00 I tried calling the Supervisor back- got constant voice mails- left multiple messages with no reply!!!! I would not recommend this tax preparation service because of the unprofessional and misleading practices that they apparently subscribe to. I looked up reviews and many other customers had the same complaint. CAUTION- DO NOT USE THIS TAX PREPARER-
