Do Not Go Here. I went here for a root canal, the dentist said he couldn’t do my back molar because “it’s in a tough area to reach”. I didn’t know that dentists picked and choose which teeth they would work on. I had a referral here from someone with the same problem and same tooth. They worked on theirs but not mine. Then they decided to charge my dental insurance 3 times for the same exam. I had to fight with my insurance for 3 months over them trying to charge me for 3 visits and 3 x-rays. My insurance finally denied them because it was very suspicious, but there’s still 1 out of the 3 still pending cause they are trying to still charge me, and in office tried billing me for all 3 when I only went there 1 time and had 1 exam. They are crooks and terrible dentist. I waited 2 hours in their lobby, then had to have x-rays done because they wouldn’t accept my dentists X-rays being sent over, then I sat in a chair for 5 minutes for them to tell me that my back molar is a tough tooth to work on and the dentist refused to do the work. If I could give 0 stars, I would. PLEASE WATCH YOUR INSURANCE DOESN'T GET MULTIPLE CHARGES.

My son really likes the dentist and the office, while the wait was a little long due to short staffed, it was worth the wait. He gets straight to point of your care. A good old school dentist is hard to find. Worth the travel.

While the staff are nice the dentist is rude, dismissive, and negligent.I went in with extreme tooth pain from what I believe was a cracked tooth. I described to the dental hygienist what I was experiencing and was later told from an endodontist that those symptoms are clear indications of a nerve dying.The dental hygienist then took an x-ray of the injured tooth. The dentist came in, did not look at the x-ray or ask me anything about the tooth pain. He poked my tooth on the side and on the top and when neither of the places he poked produced pain he told me I just needed a teeth cleaning. Then he started to leave the room. He had literally been in my presence two minutes. When I argued this pain was not from needing a teeth cleaning, he begrudgingly told me I could meet with an oral surgeon. The appointment offered to me when I checked out was 20 days away.Three days later I had to go to Med Express because I had gotten an infection in the injured tooth and had to be put on antibiotics. A week after the dismissive dentist I went to another dentist who took x-rays and immediately sent me to get a root canal.If you just need to go in for a teeth cleaning you will probably be fine but if you have any issues with your teeth and need the dentist to be competent, go somewhere else.

We’ve been coming for years and only once did we get in on time. We decided to leave after an hour after seeing a Google review. They waited for two hours only hours before us getting there. Hopefully everyone else will get in sooner.

The office was dirty the rooms were dirty the wait was almost 2 hours . They were rude. The office manager was the worst!!! Dentist was ok but not worth the trouble. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemyReviews don’t lie. The only reason I came here was because Turtle Creek Closed.

I wouldn’t give this place a 1 star staff don’t answer the phone staff are useless appointment 1pm sat 3/16 after they reschedule me several times for many reasons… for a teeth cleaning after being rescheduled the day of as I was enroute to the office and was cancled again and went for the 3 time for the cleaning sat there for 3 hours on a Saturday a guy walk in ask why am I here and and say also for wisdom pulling which was never suppose to happen he walks out sits in this room they don’t have someone to clean my teeth waited a additional 30 min in the back teeth never clean and walk out. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL CAUSE Don’t WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.

Went in for a cleaning. Waited almost 2 hours to get checked out and not one person came and told us what was going on and why it was taking so long. When I got back there the male dentist (I don’t remember his name) checked out my teeth and told me I needed all four of my wisdom teeth taken out (he didn’t tell me why) and he told me I have cavities. And when I asked how many I had he ignored me. I had scheduled to get all four removed but the next day I happen to look at the reviews of this place and I’m not sure I’m comfortable with such a unprofessional place taking care of my teeth. It was also really cramped back there and no privacy since there are no rooms it’s just one wall that separates you from seeing another patient. But if once you are done with your teeth you can literally look next to you and see the other person.

This practice has been incredibly unprofessional, rude, and blatantly ignorant in their communications with me after removing my wisdom tooth on Sept 6th 2023.On the day of the surgery, I was given incorrect instructions which lead to a delay in my appointment, and the staff and surgeon alike couldn’t remember what teeth needed to be pulled even after we had reviewed my information several times.I also went into surgery with the understanding that both of my lower wisdom teeth would be removed and I found out that wasn’t what happened a couple of days later when swelling decreased and I could feel my bottom left molar still in place.After the surgery, they woke me up quickly, handed the person with me a (very much so lacking) post op care sheet that looked like it was copy and pasted from Wikihow, and rushed me out.I was not told about how the surgery went or what I need to be cautious about.Since then, I have had several complications that line up with the results of poor dental work.Because of my treatment at the surgery appointment, I decided to not go back for a follow up with them and instead went to see my regular dentist who is now referring me to a periodontist.My surgery site still has not closed 5 weeks later and my gums have not reconnected to my teeth and jaw properly.In discussing these issues with this practice, I have been met only with defensiveness, aggression, and unintelligence. There has been no attempt to understand the situation or to assess me.They also refuse to answer phones and rely on voicemails which would be acceptable if their voicemail inbox wasn’t constantly full.Please do not waste your money, time, or health here as they will treat you poorly and provide sub-par, if not harmful, dental care and oral surgery.

My teeth were soo messed up (still currently getting work done) BUT they saved so many of them. They didn't want to just pull them all as a 35yr old because they care! they do beautiful work and thank God I didn't lose all my teeth. The dentists and the dental hygienists really know what they're doing in my opinion and they know I appreciate them!

I wouldn’t recommend going here nor taking a loved one to this place they call a business to get anything done. I wouldn’t take my stuffed animals in to be worked on here. I needed to sit with my daughter and not only was the staff nasty and rude but so was the dentist? They didn’t seem to know what they were doing either. I’d give them a -5 stars if I could. You will regret going here.

I’m very disappointed with Heather. I came today to verify an appointment and was upset because me and my son had an appointment together and they canceled mine for no reason. So I came in today to get a new appointment because my tooth is hurting but heather interrupted not understanding my issue only caused problems. She starting yelling and they don’t see special needs kids but they did see my son who has cerebral palsy and said he could come back? She then called the cops and kept telling me nobody wants me their. Like I don’t get how someone who claims to be the boss lacks so much professionalism. I felt as if she was a child throwing a tantrum for being ignored. I wasn’t there to argue just wanted to verify an appointment after they canceled mine for no reason while I was there and had to wait.

Steel City Dental is the best dental place around. I have been going to Steel City for 8+ year’s and have never had a bad experience. The staff are very friendly, you don’t have to wait long, and they schedule you within a timely manor. I highly recommend Steel City Dental to my family & friends.
