We stayed in room 301 it was delightful and filled with so much history. It was like we were staying with friends. The location was great for sight seeing and all the staff were so pleasant. Jerry filled us in on the rich history of the house and various attractions within the city. Another great adventure.

The Morris House Hotel is a beautiful historic hotel in the heart of Philadelphia. My family was greeted by Jerry Morris (no relation) who was an encyclopedia of knowledge of the Morris family and the house itself. He was happy to provide us a tour of the property and answered any and all questions we had. The other staff were fabulous as well. Kind, helpful, and always available. The location of the hotel is perfect. It's steps away from Independence Hall, multiple parks, and restaurants. We walked everywhere. The rooms are lovely, comfortable, and quiet. All in all, The Morris House Hotel is my number one Philly recommendation!

The Morris House Hotel is a gem in Philadelphia. It's rich with history, and you will feel like you stepped into the late 1700s when you are here, but with the amenities of the 21st century. Jerry and Alejandro made us feel at home. Their continental breakfast is sufficient to fuel for the day, complete with coffee, tea, milk, juice, yogurt, muffins, oatmeal, and boiled eggs. Perhaps one of the greatest benefits is that it's walking distance from the Independence Historic Park area, which was the main reason for our visit to Philly. The rooms are large with ample space. I called ahead to request a welcome gift for my husband for his birthday, and Jerry exceeded my expectations with a beautiful cheese tray. We are very happy and hope to return soon.

This boutique hotel was a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our room had a spacious bathroom but we most enjoyed the continental breakfast and afternoon tea available in their library. The location made exploring the historic parts of Philadelphia very easy. Highly recommend if you want to have a quiet and unique experience.

We had a great stay here for my moms graduation! The staff was friendly and the house was so charming! The room was clean and bed was comfy. The room we had had a large bathroom as well which was a plus - only con was shower head (water pressure was kinda light). We would definitely stay again! The cookies, coffee and water were an added bonus!

This charming hotel is right in the middle of historic Philadelphia. We could easily walk to many points of interest. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast had everything we needed to start the day. We had a top story room without an elevator. We found climbing the staircase great exercise and not a problem for us 60 something year olds.

I had such a great stay! The hotel has a laid-back atmosphere and is absolutely beautiful, full of character and stories waiting to be discovered. Its location is perfect—close to everything you could need or want to explore. The restaurant and bar were fantastic, with a welcoming ambiance. The staff truly stood out; they were not only helpful but also so pleasant to chat with. I can’t wait to visit again!
Also if you get a chance book dinner at Talula's Garden, the roasted chicken is 🔥
