Nassir, the pharmacist/owner of this business is not a nice man. He is always defensive and is very curt. For one thing he never says goodbye when he hangs up. He simply just hangs up. Further, several people have told me that he voices his anti Covid vaccinations which he should certainly keep to himself, especially as a professional. He should stick to filling prescriptions and not deal with the public.

Washington Square Pharmacy has CONSISTENTLY provided me with EXEMPLARY service. I am a poor man, paraplegic, and struggling just to stay alive, and the FAMILY run, workforce there has always gone out of their way, gone WELL above and beyond the level of service necessary, to ensure that I am properly cared for. These people genuinely love what they do, they GENUINELY WANT to help their clientele have, not only a better quality of living, but have a longer lifespan, through medicine. They are one of the few entities in the entire city of Philadelphia, that has treated me no better, and no worse, than a wealthy man. I CAN NOT say enough good things about this pharmacy. Even if I have to travel across town to remain a client, I will, because they have MORE than earned my business. Excellent pharmacy, 5 stars, no questions asked...

My favorite and my only pharmacy. I live all the way across Philadelphia and will make the drive, or the trip just to get my prescriptions filled here. They are kind, they are informed, they treat you with respect. I've been coming here for 15 years. In all of the 15 years I've never had to wait longer than 5 mins. Now that my doctor can electronically send my scripts, I don't have to wait. When I come my scripts are all ready to go.They will order the medicine you need if they don't have it(which doesn't happen often) it comes like the next day. They answer all your questions and are open on the weekends. I will never go to another pharmacy unless these guys are closed. Also one of the guy pharmacist looks like an older Dylan McDermott....lol. They all are great. I love it there.

I really wanted to like this pharmacy and support a small business, but I won’t be going back here. Someone working there (the owner I assume) made a rude comment about me to another patron within my earshot, which was very rude and just bad customer service.

DO NOT COME HERE. I have been going to Washington Square Pharmacy for over a year because I wanted to support a small, local pharmacy, but this is the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever interacted with. The final straw for me was my last experience during COVID when I came in to see that, of three employees that day, only one was wearing their mask: the pharmacist wasn't wearing a mask AT ALL and made no attempt to distance himself from me when he spoke, and the desk clerk's mask was worn below her nose. (They sell at least five types of masks at the same counter.) The pharmacy had somehow lost my insurance information from a previous prescription and hadn't started my prescription at all even though I called ahead, so I had to wait 15 minutes indoors with no protective glass or other measures while they got their things together. When I left, I called the desk clerk to let her know I was the person who was just there and I didn't feel safe with them not wearing their masks or wearing them improperly, to which she only said, "Oh....okay...." like I had said something mean to her and she was waiting for me to apologize. They do not care about their customers at all. I ran out of refills for a prescription I need to get through the day, and they gave me no heads up or warning that I was out of refills until I tried filling it again, at which point they half-heartedly said they could maybe try my doctor and then didn't contact me again. They also didn't let me know about an emergency prescription, which I didn't even know was an option until I went to a Rite Aid and begged them for a few days of pills because I was starting to experience withdrawals, and they let me know how emergency prescriptions work and granted me three days of doses. Their hours are also unpredictable. Sometimes they're open Sunday mornings, sometimes they're not, and there's no way to find out because their hours aren't posted anywhere outside their door. You just show up and see if they're closed. Go to your local big box pharmacy instead of here. At least they have oversight.
