They seem to be unable to read a Grubhub order slip. Missing salad and incorrect sandwich.

The sandwiches are so unique and I love how they relate to different neighborhoods in Pittsburgh. My favorite is the Highlander. They really stack on the meat and the Breadworks bread is the best!

Reasonably priced sandwich shop apparently specializing in chili that I didn’t try. I got very simple grilled cheese and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Both were triple layered. Very sweet older staff

Found this gem as I was searching for just a classic deli sandwich. I found it! One of my favorite lunch spots

Hands down best deli in Pittsburgh. Family owned and operated with an amazing staff. Owner (Jim) is incredibly kind and will always greet you with a smile. And they have the coolest logo in Pittsburgh.

I can't say that I really love the food, but I do know I love the employees. They were all so sweet and helpful my first time here. It's a small deli tucked away downtown. I actually had trouble finding it at first. It's located at 309 Smithfield st, but the entry that says "309" isn't their entrance. You have to walk a little bit down past the coffee shop to see their door. There is a huge menu on the outside so you know it's the right spot. I love how all their sandwiches are named after different areas of Pittsburgh. It really is like ordering from a deli. You tell them what you want (I got the Dormont)and then watch them make it right in front of you. They have options for hot and cold sandwiches as well as salad options and other things too. And the prices are better than what you would get at a major sandwich chain. The reason why I wasn't super impressed is because I felt like my sandwich was something I could just make at home. It wasn't anything like "WOW." It's a cute little place downtown so check it out if you're nearby.

I stop in every now and again for lunch. They have daily specials in addition to sandwiches, salads, etc. You can also purchase pre-made items like sandwiches. I have had a variety of items here including all of the above mentioned items. The food is hit or miss. By that I mean there are days when it's really good and other days where it's just average. Unfortunately more days than not it's average. That's not saying it's bad. Just what you would expect from a downtown deli that serves the 9-5 worker bees like myself.

I have ordered sandwiches from these people for four months straight every single day. I called today to order something and they would not deliver or accommodate me after they cancelled my doordash order. The younger daughter hung up on me, Jim wouldn’t deliver, and it was just the worst service ever. I’ve spent so much money with these people and this is how they treat customers. Then took the phone off the hook and changed their status to closed.

Sandwiches are average, but the hot sausage chili is awesome. There is a good variety of options here but I always just end up getting the chili since it's so good. They do lunch specials where you can get a half a sandwich and a cup of soup/chili which would be a good way to try out both for a low price.
