I’ve only taken my car here a few times, two of which were for punctured tires. Both times they removed the object, patched the tire and didn’t charge me. Everyone I’ve interacted with there has been super helpful and friendly.

I’ve taken my car here twice, once when another company messed up a muffler repair and once for inspection. Both times were a great experience. I didn’t feel like they were trying to upsell me or take advantage. I shop around and the suggestions/pricing at Frick Park Automotive were more reasonable and more realistic than the upselling at Honda and even another small business. Some prices might be a little on the higher side when you look at them individually compared with other providers but for me, as a whole, they were much less expensive. Honda tried to convince me I needed several other things that were not actually necessary at this time. Even after I told them I was planning to buy a new car soon and wanted the bareminimum. Highly recommend Frick Park Automotive. I’ll pay a little extra on individual products and services for a small business and recommendations I can trust.

I live close by this business and have used them twice for my car inspection. I am able to drop off my car the evening before my appointment and then receive a call when pick up is ready. I appreciate that I can stop by if I have a concern and my questions are always addressed, also I was having problems with my tires and needed air on several occasions, no problem. I would recommend this location for anyone in need of car service. They always answer the phone and it’s a real person, wow!!

I would have given a higher rating except for the price I was charged on brake parts. Rear brake pads=$94.83, 1 rear brake rotor =$111.25, 1 rear brake calliper =$246.90, over $450.00 for these parts, this did not include labor. This is unfair! I could have taken this to the dealership for less. I understand making a profit, but this is not right. The labor charge was acceptable, thus giving a rating of two stars.

Bob and his crew were very nice. It was easy to make an appointment and I didn’t have to wait long. They did diagnostics and repair the same day. Very affordable too. Driving feels much better now.Services: Electrical

Pulled up to this business to get a tire rotation and walked over to a restaurant nearby to check their hours to see if I could get something to eat in the meantime. It took me maybe 2 minutes to check and as I come back to my car intending to go in someone comes out holding a "no trespassing" sign, aggressive and screaming at me, saying "I'm going to let you read this sign so you can get the f*** off my lot before I tow your ass!" Never go to this business, if I could leave a zero star review I would. They didn't even ask me what I was there for, just screaming in my face and told me to f*** off.

Very trustworthy and helpful, always willing to explain things to me and help me find a solution I can afford. Had one scheduling problem, but that's over 7 years of getting regular service here. I'm always greeted with a smile. Definitely recommend.

Have been going here since before the current management. These guys do a quality job and unlike some places you might go you can always trust them to only recommend what is really needed.

I had a very unfortunate experience with Frick Automative, which I have tried to resolve in a friendly way with no success. In fact, the owner just yelled "shut your mouth" over the phone and hung up on me! I've never had this kind of experience, as I tend to believe that everything can be resolved if everybody remains polite, so it seems important to share an experience where that was not made possible. My car was towed to Frick with a dead battery and a flat tire on the recommendation of a friend who has always received good service there, and since I no longer live in Pittsburgh, I took the recommendation. Frick said they were very busy but that they would do their best. The next day I got a call saying they had finished, and that it would cost $932! I was pleased that the work was done, but very surprised that there was no call to tell me what the cost would be, or to give me options. I questioned the cost (a tire and a battery for $932?) and was told that they had installed a particularly good battery, with a 3 year warranty, that cost $279. I've never paid anything like that for a battery before, but I had no choice since the work had been completed without my approval. When I went in to pick up the car, I asked for the 3-year warranty that I had been promised. The manager told me to simply come in if I had problems. I explained again to him that I no longer live in Pittsburgh, and that therefore wasn't a possibility. He said he'd call his supplier and email me the warranty. No word from him for a week. I called today to remind him and he began screaming at me over the phone. He ultimately said he'd replace the battery with one that has an interstate guarantee, which would be great but - once again - I don't live in Pittsburgh and am no longer there. The manager wouldn't stop screaming long enough to let me explain that to him, and to ask him what we can do. I think he or his employees probably made a mistake when they did the work without giving me a quote, and perhaps that led to the subsequent bad behavior. It does mean that while their service can be great, watch out for sticker shock, and for poor interpersonal ability, as a number of other Yelpers have described.

I cannot emphasize this enough- DO NOT GO HERE! They are incredibly overpriced and incredibly rude. Every aspect of my experience was bad, but specifically:-To get my brake pads and rotors replaced was nearly $1,000. I understand that this isn't the cheapest fix on a car, but the cost of materials ordinarily shouldn't be half of that. Retail price for brake pads is about $50; they charged me $100. I understand the shop needs to make a profit on the parts they are buying, but doubling the cost of each part is predatory.-The man who answers the phones and processed my payment was so condescending. He didn't acknowledge me when I first went in and said good morning. We stood in silence until he finally looked up and said, "Yeah, what's up?" He called me to tell me my car was done but said that they couldn't accept Visa at the moment (which is the only card I have). Any question I asked to figure out the payment he was defensive and quick to cut me off. When he did let me get a word in, I could hear him (distantly, like he had moved away from he phone) answering other phone calls. He just kept repeating "We can take American Express and Discover. You'll have to figure it out" as if a system failure on his end and an inability to work on a solution that didn't involve cards I do not have was my fault. Lastly, I had a $7 coupon for my oil change. When I showed it to him (mind you, before I presented my payment), he rolled his eyes so hard he moved his entire head with it. He said, "You guys have GOT to show me that when you first drop your car off." There was nothing that specified that on the coupon, and other Valvoline locations took coupons when you paid; I said so. "Well you should have printed it." There wasn't even a barcode or a PDF of the coupon, just an email with a 3 letter code saying it was valid at this location. He sighed and said "Fine, that brings your total to xxx." When I checked the receipt later, he did not take off the $7. It's $7 off of $1,200, but it's the principle of it. These things, combined with the several condescending "lectures" he gave me (how brakes work, why his shop is better than going anywhere else, how new brakes feel and smell and 'don't freak out, your car isn't on fire'), are completely unacceptable, and to me made it clear he thought I was a d*** young woman who knows nothing about cars. All of the negative things from the 1 and 2 star reviews are correct. I tried to support a local business and focus on the stellar reviews, but this shop will not be getting my business ever again. Hopefully, this business will not get yours either.Services: Brake service & repair

The guy who was there this morning told me that I was uneducated and had a ton of problems that I actually did not have. He told me I needed things replace that were just replaced. Keep in mind, this was before I popped my hood open. It’s obvious The color of my skin drove his assumptions. Finally, after he proceeded in a one sided confrontation saying quote “I’m not gonna argue with you,” I simply replied “Thank you,” Before he would tell me and his own words, “Some ones ripping you off.” When I Thought to myself how true his statement actually was.

Past 2 days my rear tire kept going flat. I called down on a Saturday to see if they were able to squeeze me in to look at it (as other places were booked until at least mid week). I was able to bring my car down and the gentleman fixed it in under 30 minutes (I had a screw in it) and didn't charge me for the tire plug. I loved the mechanics humor (he said I got screwed, lol) and will definitely be back to this place.Service: Tires

Call Guinness, because I’m pretty sure this gentleman just set the speed record for tire leak repair. Thank you.
