Be aware, the website shows false pricing and they did it on purpose. We only had 2 W2's and they tried to charge $390 not the $89 it showed online.

Just got started with a fairly complicated back tax situation spanning a few states. I was so nervous and stressed about it but Matthew C was so helpful in guiding me to the correct places to get the information I need to be able to file. Super nice and very knowledgeable!

They can't be bothered to give you an actual estimated cost when it's not a straight forward return or to even double check their work. This failure led to our return being rejected due to the SSN he entered already been used to file. When I asked about it he had no idea what to do or what happened. After submitting forms to report a stolen SSN number, I found out he had my SSN entered wrong on the return despite having the correct number on my w-2s and the paperwork we filled out for them. Horrible service will not use them again.

Terrible experience. When I first entered I wasn't greeted I sat down and waited about 15 minutes before anyone even spoke to me. I gave Raymond Reinhart my tax documents which included quite a few W-2's as well as numerous 1099's. Not only did he misspell my last name on every document for fed, state, and local he made no effort to contact me regarding the specifics of my 1099's. He proceeded them with the wrong tax code and made NO DEDUCTIONS! I'm glad I looked over my return. I would have been liable for 100% of the income I earned. Thankfully H&R block corporate sent me to a seasoned tax Professional at their York branch. She got my fed tax liability from $4,000 down to $900! She also took the time to go over all my deductible expenses for my 1099s and saved me thousands compared to what Mr. Reinhard had prepared. All that being said they have a large sign in the lobby saying they guarantee you the best textra turn with a 100% money back guarantee. They charged me $452 for the worst tax return I have ever recived! I have been on the phone with the customer care line 4 times and each time I am told they would get back to me in 5-7 days and never have! 0/10 would not recommend Shrewsbury H&R Block!

Very disappointed with process this year. Sat in the waiting room over 20 minutes while taxes were worked on with no notice. Cost way too much for this process. Supposed to be an in person appointment. What happened to discussion and seeing what is being prepared in real time?

If I could leave less than a 1 star, I would!!!I couldn't leave a review on FB, they probably have them blocked because they are so awful!!H&R BLOCK IS THE WORST!!I CAN NOT EXPRESS MY FRUSTATION ENOUGH WITH OVER 30 HOURS IN DEALING WITH THEM AND WEEKS OF THEIR ISSUES - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, BEING CHARGED TWICE, NEVER GETTING MY REFUND, STILL NO RESOLUTION, SEVERAL CASE NUMBERS, CLOSED ONES FOR NO REASON, LONG WAIT TIMES, RUDE PEOPLE "HELPING" WHO NEVER HELP - AND MORE!!! I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND WILL ACTIVELY GET EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO!!!!!!!!!

I made a tax appointment last year fur this year. I arrived and was told I must drop off my taxes and they should be done in about 48 hours. I had to call and follow-up the following week. I was then told they were started (very simple tax return) and still didn't receive a call until the 2 week mark. If you aren't going to provide the in person tax professional then why am I charged the same amount. Next year I will do them myself.

This office (Shrewsbury, PA.) is an absolute nightmare. First off the Sunday I was there to have my taxes done there was only my agent in the office. There was no one up front to deal with people coming in or to answer phones. What should have only been an hour experience turned into a 3 hour ordeal because of the phones ringing and people needed assistance in the front. Next my tax agent was not prepared by notes about my situation that the office manager insisted she had attached to my file. Because of the complexity of my situation my preparer had to do research on how to resolve my issue instead of having done so before my scheduled appointment. My biggest complaint is the fact that this office released my tax return and pertinent information to someone they were explicitly informed not to give it to. My tax preparer noted this in my file and attached a large note to the front of my folder with these exact directions. Yet when this person entered their office they ignored these instructions and handed over my stuff to them. When I immediately called after finding this out I was met with excuse after excuse as to why this happened and a non apologetic attitude along with it. This is absolutely unacceptable and completely abhorrent how this office operates. Save yourself the time and headache and find somewhere else to have your taxes prepared. I am now in for a long nightmare of dealing with an issue they created. I have also filled a complaint with the corporate office about this. Needless to say H&R Block will NEVER see my business or that of anyone I know ever again.

Giving this place one star is too much. Very incompetent and not professional. Multiple mistakes on a simple return and a year later still getting the runaround and not getting issurs fixed not sure what to do to get my taxes fixed. Strongly urge people to find a different location or preparers
