Swarthmore Hardware is simply the best. Whatever you need, they can get it for you. And they repair lamps and screens. You won't find a better hardware store experience and "big box" stores cannot come close in terms of convenience, dependability and service.

Open on Columbus Day, has those great metal trash cans and carries them to my car. You simple cannot ask for a better experience in a small town hardware store. They have everything and they treat you like you are their favorite customer.

Ordered a lot here in the past year as the traffic is easier to deal with than Home Depot or Lowe's. Order over the phone and items will get delivered to the store (that way the local store gets credit for the sale). Pick up in the store or they will place it in your car curbside. Classic old hardware store. Very small with things hanging everywhere so be prepared to share space with others. I suggest ordering ahead.....

First rate service. Friendly and helpful. If they don't have what you need they will order it and they always help with advice. You can save the time otherwise wasted searching the aisles in a big box store. Don't underestimate what they have in stock. There is more stashed away in the basement
