I've been seeing Angela for several years—even before she joined the Velvet Hair team. When she texted me to say she was moving salons, I didn’t hesitate to follow her. Her dedication to ongoing education in hair care has truly raised the bar.
Every five weeks, I leave her chair feeling refreshed and confident. Beyond my regular root color, Angela has given me a full head of seamless, dimensional highlights, flawless color-matched extensions, precision haircuts, curls, blowouts—whatever I need, she delivers.
She also takes the time to share her product knowledge and always recommends the right solutions for my dry scalp. I won’t let anyone else touch my hair.

I came to Velvet seeking help correcting a bad color job from another salon that wasn't flattering or what I asked for. I met stylist Emily for a consultation and she was very clear on how we could approach fixing it and I loved how focused she was on protecting the hair health during the process. I was a little nervous but Emily was so patient walking me through every step of the process and explaining as we went. I have a lot of hair, so it was long process but I never once felt even a little rushed. I am so much happier with my new results, and with Emily's recommendation of following up with K18 bond builder my hair hasn't looked this healthy in years!

Annie from Velvet is amazing!!! I have been to MANY curly stylists and she is hands down the BEST! I have coarse curly hair and struggle with wearing it down and always pull up in ponytail or wear head bands. She listened to all my concerns and talked through options and it was perfect!
She is realistic and honest and I love that.
The products and process to achieve the look I want is 100% doable and so excited to have found someone who really understands curly hair!!!😃

Sharing some before and after pictures of my hair (apologies for the poor quality, they don't do it justice). Angela was amazing, I went in there with grown out highlights and roots, and she transformed me. I love the new cut and color! I love the salon as well, the vibe is very relaxed and comfortable, with a fully stocked coffee bar. Would definitely recommend Angela and the whole experience!

Angela is an absolutely brilliant and talented hair stylist - color, cut, extensions, blow drying - you name it. Arrived so sensitive about my hair due to some bad experiences and she took the time to understand my goals and has nailed the execution every time since. On top of all that, she’s so lovely inside and out. Check her out on the website and on instagram - her work speaks for itself. The salon is charming and comfortable and everyone is very warm and kind too, which makes all the difference when you’re hanging out. I cannot recommend more.

Angela is amazing!! I had a bad experience with my past hair dresser so I was a little nervous walking in, but OH MY GOSH. My hair is exactly what I wanted. It is so so soft and smells amazing. She was so helpful with figuring out what I wanted exactly and she handled my hair with such care. She also shared with me products to use and I feel so much more confident with my new hair!! I brought my daughter into Velvet after she had a bad experience at a different salon. Nicole was absolutely amazing! She was kind, patient and compassionate. My daughter felt totally comfortable in Nicole’s chair and loves her hair.

Best hair studio around! Jen Sanchez is an artist. I have been going to her for years. She recently cut my son's hair. He is only 19 and has experienced some hair loss due to stress and diet. She spent such care to make him look great and boost his confidence. Amazing!

I can't say how thrilled I am to have found Angela! I was with my previous hair stylist for a number of years and was nervous to switch but Angela exceeded my expectations! I honestly have not had a better hair cut from anyone else. I love my hair!

I get my hair did by Emily 💜 she gives me the best shaggy short styles. I highly recommend her as a hair dresser 10/10, she be nice with them scissors and hair razors, and just this place in general. Good vibe and cute salon doggy
