This credit union is the absolute worse. It’s 2024 the online features are terrible. Customer service is horrible can’t even request a debt card pos limit request without having to go into the bank. They are extremely rude. I mean there’s no convenience with this bank. If you try to spend over 500$ on your debt card get ready to spend 20 mins or go to the bank get your debit card unlocked. Since there fraud alerts doesn’t work like every other bank. I would honestly give them a 0. STAY AWAY GO GET A STANDARD BANK THAT ALLOWS YOU ACCESS

I have been a member of the Wilkes-Barre branch for 22 yrs. The last few years the staff has changed & not for the better. Today, 2/28/24, I went to the bank & the teller, Lisa was condescending & rude. I went there to cash a check from my employer, a local business. Lisa told me she had to put a 3 day hold on it. I asked how I could get it cashed, she said she would have to ask her manager & I asked that she do this. After almost 10 mins in the managers office, she came out to tell me her manager said she couldn't cash it. I asked her how much money I would need in the account to get the amount I required & she said "The amount required, duh". Lisa then told me I could go to the bank the check was written from & get it cashed there. I looked at the clock & stated "I have 3 mins to get there before they close. Do you think I'll make it?" She just smiled. I then asked Lisa how I could go about closing my accounts from this bank & she proceeded to tell me I could only close my checking account because I have a home equity & personal loan through the bank, she then smiled & stated that's a shame, the other 2 tellers thought she was funny & giggled as she was so rude towards me. This is not the first, second or third occasion that I have been to this branch & this same teller has not only been rude, nasty or mean to me but I have witnessed her act the same way towards others. The entire banking staff in this branch are horrible. The loan department staff are so kind, helpful & understanding. If I could do my banking with them I would. I have recently started going out of my way, 20 mins, to go to the Plains branch where the banking staff there are super friendly & energetic. All I ask is that you do better in training your staff how to treat their customer because it is our money in your bank.

Arrived at the Wilkes-Barre branch at 9 AM. Waited 10 minutes and they never opened. Also, should have a notice on the door that the lobby is not open on Saturday.

Have almost always had a very good experience at this location. Employees are always friendly and helpful. There have been a few times where the online systems and technical issues have caused the branch to be closed. Minor inconvenience.

I love having Choice One Community Credit Union as my bank. I enjoy visiting because the bank is always neat and clean. The staff are always so happy to see you. I love how the staff asks how I’m doing as they are working on my transaction. I am extremely satisfied with my decision to move to Choice One.

Having Choice One FCU Wilkes barre as my bank has been amazing! They have the best customer service and support around. They have convenient office hours and amazing 24 hr ATM service. They are super quick to return your inquiries on your account and their automated member hotline is great for emergent issues. I highly recommend them to my family and friends, many of which also hold an account with this branch and or the plains branch!

This credit union is the best. Most specifically the people. They are always friendly and professional. If you have an issue or problem with an account etc., whether in person or on the phone, they will take the time to help you or point you in the right direction.

I’ve been a member with this bank since 2006 and I’ve never had any issues. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. After being a member here since I was 12 I opened an account for my son here also. Highly recommend taking your banking needs here. -Kelsie Adam

Everyone at this branch has gone above and beyond for me.They are always friendly and make you feel welcome. I consider them like one of my family because they treat you as such..I do not live in the Wilkes Barre area and am closer to the Old Forge and Plains area but I drive the extra miles because I feel at home here..
