We stayed here while doing the island walk.
There is a restriction here in that you cannot arrive or be admitted before 3:30 pm, which is difficult if you are walking from 16 miles away. Also, there is no food nearby, so walking into town and back adds 3 more miles to your day. You must have cash only onsite to pay because the host has no modern payment methods.
Just okay.

Beautiful home, spacious rooms, gorgeous backyard with deck. Our wonderful host, Doreen took great care of us and made us feel right at home (and lovely conversation). Scrumptious breakfast. Highly recommend including the rhubarb pinwheel pastry.

The room and host were great, but right by the highway, so noisy.

A week here and left as relaxed as a month anywhere else. Host is a wealth of Island information -her home. Spacious rooms, immaculately clean. Breakfast options cover every base, from vegan, to palio to eggs and bacon. I even received my request for a toasted peanut butter and banana sandwich with a large glass of cold milk one day.Yum!Kensington is a great "central" location for 1/2-day trips to all points during your stay. Relaxing on the back porch, overlooking expansive gardens is also a pleasure.Hint: Select the Aqua Room for morning sun as you wake.
