Ramada is a massive hotel chain that is owned by hotel group Wyndham. It was founded in 1953 by a renowned Chicago restauranteur and a group of investors. Ramada opened its first 66-room hotel along Route 66 in Flagstaff, Arizona, in 1954. Its headquarters where based out of Phoenix, Arizona. In the year 1970, Ramada expanded to include hotels in Europe and now also has locations in Africa, Australia and the Middle East as well, located in a number of gateway cities and is expected to expand into the country of Brazil soon, making them an internationally-recognized brand.
