We kayaked here, easy put in and take out. We traveled upstream for a few miles, easy to navigate, had to maneuver around a few shallow spots but doable. Met a few very friendly people along the way. The ride back downstream was very nice. We will do this again.

This organization has brought the river into federal wild & scenic status! They do a great job. Just being able to use their kayaks on the wood river is worth the price of membership. River is very easy to paddle & accessible to all. You can have a small meeting or party there that includes a paddle and your crowd will love it. Or launch your own kayak any time with membership. Kids love being there especially when the turtles, beavers, ducks/geese and great blue herons are hanging out! (Yes I've seen all of those there).
