Go here if you want a delicious lobster roll with a view of the ocean. Couldn’t get better than here. Clam cakes were great too

Monaghan's was a lovely way to celebrate a beautiful end of summer day. They caution that parking could be difficult but we easily found a space when someone left. Staff was friendly and efficient. The food was fresh and excellent. I had fried scallops and my friend ordered the whole clams and clam cakes. Everything was great served in a pavilion with a perfect view of the ocean. Hoping to go back again!

Absolutely love Monahan's. Our first time there! The food was delicious! The prices were extremely reasonable! Great staff! Some wait time but line moved quickly.

This is top notch. Tried come for dinner, line was massive, came back the next day for lunch... Outstanding. Lobster roll was on point, service was outstanding and the scene is as good as you get. Can't beat this spot in the area.

While the view
Is incredible . The food is ok. The clam strips were tiny as were the stuffed clams. Not sure if i’d return rhode Island should have better seafood then this. Probably came off the sysco truck!

Food was great. Service was really quick. Long line when we got there but it moves fast. Prices were high, ended up $120 for two people before drinks.

The food is really fresh, but they could have more seasoning. It's a shack, so be prepared you might not have a seat. My clam cake texture is really good, but no clams in 2/6 pieces or only have 1 tiny one.
Parking: On the street
Because there are only 2 spots

We had the lobster roll, fries and clam strip roll. The lobster roll was good, not big junks of lobster but my husband like it. The fries were also good. I am upset now that I did not bring back the clam roll. It was over cooked, crispy pieces of something, not recognizable as clam strips. Maybe I got the crumbs from the bottom of the bag? They should not serve something they wouldn't want to eat themselves. If you want a clam roll go to Iggy's.

The food was outstanding! We ordered the cold lobster roll, a clear chowder, a whole belly clam roll and a fish sandwich. The lobster roll was loaded with lobster, and everything was delicious. The cocktail sauce was excellent. We sat out back with a view of the bay and boat launch with our dogs, as they are dog-friendly, which is the best!

Came here because I was in the area and craving clam chowder. It was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a lovely spot, with a straightforward solid menu, good service, solid food, and parking available (although limited when busy but you can figure it out).
We got the while clam chowder and a cold lobster roll. The prices and size for prices are standard, but the food is solid. I would recommend both. Next time I would get the clam chowder again, try a hot lobster roll, some other items on the menu (maybe a special), would leave room for ice cream, and would stay to eat in the back area. It's such a quaint area and good vibe.
