WE LOVED OUR CHEESE BOARD! This is a great place to be adventurous in your cheese choice! The honey Gouda and Red dragon were especially good. You can choose from a selection of meat, cheese, and tapas, prices are 4 for $15, 6 for $23 and 8 for $29. All walls were decorated of an amazing selection of wine for sale. The staff are really welcoming and the service was awesome. To top it off the music really fit the relaxing vibe. There were wines from all over the world to try as well! All in all this place is a must try!

I love all of the local choices for cheese and meat and the wine was above average. We ordered a couple different cheeses and meats and one of the appetizer specials. They were out of one of the cheeses we wanted to try. Overall we were happy with the way everything tasted but not 5 stars for a place specializing in charcuterie.

Quite impressed. We chose the 6 item board, but there were SO many interesting things to choose from we decided to let our server make up the platter. She asked us a couple questions about our likes and dislikes, then put it all together for us. Her choices were all spot on. We especially liked the Johns Island Sweet Sunset. The board also included Wensleydale Lemon, Petit Basque, Prosciutto, Black Truffle Salami, and Stuffed Dates. It was all quite yummy.

Hit the town for a later night snack and a glass of wine and could not have been happier we came here. Very attentive professional server wonderful cozy atmosphere, amazing wine selection and the snacks were delicious. I will definitely go back and I heartily recommend Avondale wine and cheese:-)

Cute place, great ambiance, and good quality charcuterie plate! My friend and I stopped by here because we wanted to be fancy and get some wine, cheese, and meat platter. I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing since this is not normally my scene, but the waitress was very friendly and helpful in helping us decide what we should order. What stood out to me about this place was the option to get some tapas as part of the "combo plate" rather than just sticking with wine and cheese. It definitely helped add some variety to our dinner without having to over-order! I like the way how the menu was structured, categorizing the cheese by what animal it came from, and its origin. I'm not as well versed in cheese, but the meat that stood out to me was the duck. Although I don't normally liked shredded/grind meat, the duck was very flavorful and paired well with the cheese's texture! We ordered caprese and basil as tapas and they went well with the plate as well! The ambiance of this place was also great, and I liked that I got everything I wanted without having to break my wallet. I wish we have something this affordable and nice in SoCal as well!
