Why does a retail store close for 15 minutes everyday so an employee can have a break? Family Dollar doesn't , Wal-mart doesn't, hell fast food restaurants don't close to allow breaks . If that was the case then maybe all of Retail should just close and allow employees to have breaks. As a consumer of YOUR brand I don't accept the fact that when I pull up to your store at 7pm after working my job , to get the things I need for my family , that the store is closed. I think this store closes at either 9 or 10 not seven. Makes no sense, and for the owner of this franchise you need to get a grip on Customer Service, Store Organization, as well as abiding by your store hours.

This store has gone way down hill. Lady with the gold teeth at the register is rude and nasty and keeps her large dog in a small cage behind the counter during her shift. That says a lot about how caring she is towards people and animals. Why is a dog even allowed to be in the store for 8 hours a day? Shelves are empty, place is messy and disorganized. Digital coupons haven't work for months and management doesn't care to fix this. They post store hours as 8am-10pm but rarely keep those hours. They close as early as 7pm and open whenever it suits them. I have had my last visit to this store. I will drive to Family Dollar up the road where customer service is much better and they honor their coupons and respect the customers.

Customer service is awful. There’s a piece of paper taped to the door notifying you that the digital coupon service is “still down” and it’s probably been that way for a long time with no resolve. The dollar general in Summerville was able to work around this issue, however the lady at the counter was not only not willing to do the same thing, but she was also rude about it. The music in the store was vulgar and unfriendly, the atmosphere was completely uncomfortable. Items were on the ground throughout most of the isles and the shelves were barely stocked, making it hard to find what we need. The lady told us to go to the DG in summerville for the digital coupons. I do not recommend this store to anybody. I don’t usually leave reviews but this was probably a worse shopping experience than Walmart in Summerville.

Went today at 9:15 and they had a sign in the door saying that they close at 9:30, I ask the woman if she could open the door and she was rude and kept pointing at the 2 people that were there while saying “they’re the last ones”. If I could give them 0 stars I would for sure. Go to another store that they respect the hours!

Used my debit card here and now charges from Kansas City Welfare and other places appear. Last time I was there I was robbed at gun point. I won't be going back!

If y’all close at 10 why did they lock the doors at 9:20. I just don’t know why this actually happens all the time and specifically happened today at 9:20 the manager lock the door. Just put your hours closing at 9:30.

I've been shopping here for five years and always recommended it because the store was neat and the employees were friendly. The last trip was VERY disappointing. Door was still locked at 8:10 (posted time 8:00). No apology from the abrupt woman who finally came to the door. An entirely inappropriate radio station was playing loudly (DJ was reading a sexually explicit letter from a listener). As I left, automatic door did not open. I had to wait for an employee to open the door and she was on her personal cellphone all the while. Again no apology. I'll think twice before returning.

Job seekers beware if you are a black male Chris will accuse you of stealing with no proof. He also racially profiles every black male customers which I've witnessed on many occasions. I've also witness Rebecca belittle an elderly woman for using checks as a form of payment which really upset the lady luickly I was the one assisting her and reassured her that her check payment was no issue. Job seekers if Rebecca is the one counting your drawer recount it she steals money out the registers. She also plays on the phone being disrespectful to customers when calling to ask simple questions. She will yell at customers on the phone and hang up on them.

The person working there today at the register was very unfriendly to customers as they were purchasing items. I hope her day gets better. I am sure the job is tedious and sometimes thankless but professionalism is still needed.

This is a typical Dollar General. There's nothing special about it. It's doesn't have the greatest lighting. Some shelves are packed while others are bare. Some prices are great. Other items are priced higher than larger stores, like Walmart. I would come back if I needed to pick up one or two items. It's located on a very busy road so I wouldn't recommend coming during peak hours. It can be very difficult to get out the parking lot.
