They do not follow consumer laws or federal law, I wa approved for a jeep paid for shipping and put insurance on it and they will not give me my property. its a much deeper story and its too much too write but long story short they are not following TILA.

Went to the Columbia location today. They were nice enough to allow us to walk the lot without being bothered. However, after we spent well over 1 hour walking and considering all of our options we went back inside with 6 vehicle options. Upon entering the building I requested assistance and was told it would be an additional 35-40 minutes before they would have someone available. While this is an inconvenience it was understandable with their traffic. I requested to use one of the many MANY empty desks and research their inventory and was flatly refused. No reason other than "we don't do that anymore". I was told I couldn't even sit at an empty desk but we could go to the waiting room and sit there. Now it's getting insulting. Researching I found that several of the cars didn't have price tags on the windows on the sales lot. Searching in my phone I found that half of the cars we were interested In were NOT even available! This was stunning especially since there was NOTHING on these cars windows or anywhere outside that indicated they were not available for sale! How do you know what's available or not??? This company has slipped far down the hill on caring about their customers! We totally wasted the day once you include we drove 1 hour one way to get there!! NEVER CARMAX AGAIN! They make it too hard for customers to simply know WHAT THE HECK THEY HAVE FOR SALE!!!

Very friendly staff, with a no pressure experience. Ability to do 24 hour test drives helps Tremendously with the buying experience and making sure the vehicle fits your needs.

I purchased 2 vehicles from CarMax in the past. Current day, I rather not. The sales team put no effort in customer service and trying to make a sell. They act like they have an office job and know they will get a check regardless if they make a sell or not. The luxury cars I looked at was dirty and smelled. One would not even start. The last car I purchased from CarMax, the service dept was rude and they would not honor the warranty I purchased from Carmax, so I traded the car at a dealership for a new car. I tried to give CarMax another chance bc in the past it was excellent but now not so much and they prices are no longer the best deals. CarMax you have more competition these days with others like Carvana and then JT is right next door...gotta pass him to get to y'all.. Get it together because that lot is full and it wasn't no bunch of customers rolling through. But then y'all had the nerve to have someone waiting over the 5mins you claim someone would assist. I come back in the building and plenty of reps just sitting around talking to each other.They don't really want to sell no cars. My money spend every where, so unless I'm treated like a valued return customer I won't be spending at CarMax.

Fast, easy process selling car. Staff was friendly and they made a very fair offer on my 2018 Chevy Cruz. Would definitely do business with them again.

Am in the " process" and decided to check out reviews which has become a habit of mine after several negative experiences with companies of all types of merchandise.What gets me is the "Internet ads" toughting cars for Seniors ,$0 down and $39.00 a month "! We all know that is an impossible statement yet it is allowed to lure low income, Seniors ,many now having to adjust to living on a SS income thru no fault of their circumstances changingAmerican dealerships used to be do helpful and reliable and HONEST. NOW not so much. I don't like doing business " invisably" over the internet. What has happened to personal service and qualified sales people? These people are my grandsons age,with no life experiences, no manners and questionable ethics with many.I have given up , I don't think any of these so called Dealerships and "car deals for Seniors" are truthful and have savvy Advertisement Company's to skate along the edge of saying just enough to hook you in only to Rip out your lip afterwardsVery sad what the Auto industry has come to. No more " Made in America" vehicles. Things change I know ,but shouldn't those changes be for the Better? not To see and sometimes laugh behind your back ,"Another sucker has been born"! I truly hope and pray when these folks get to be my age and find themselves in dire straights ,they remember 2024 and how abjectly awful old people have been disrespected thru advertising slicks and respect was absolutely forgotten.Thank you to all "low star" reviews that were honey enough to say " this company is Not good business"! I appreciate your info.CarMax ,you need to do better and look into more Community Service for the elderly.You are BILLIONAIRES ,ALL of your customers are not and made your fortunes.

The only great thing about carmax was the process of buying the vehicle. I’ve been waiting for a license plate I never received and it’s been 45 days exactly. I called trying to be proactive weeks ago informing them I talked to the DMV and they(carmax) needed to finish an online portion that was started two weeks after I bought the car and never completed due to whatever reason yet constantly told they have up to 45 days to complete the registration well guess what? It’s been 45 days and still no tag. I’m beyond upset a simple fix I’m sure but they dropped the ball on this one whatever department was in charge of handling such transactions failed me as a customer.

Selling my car everyone was very friendly and nice. The process from start to finish was fast and no hassles. The quote I got online was the same after inspection. I would definitely recommend Carmax to friends and family who are thinking about selling their car.
