This museum in the downtown historic District of Columbia is not large but is jam packed with great art. We spent about 3 hours discovering Basquiat, Chihuly, Warhol, Remington, Monet, Winslow Homer and many more artists, some unknown to us but extremely gifted all the same. The entrance fee is very reasonable and a small price to pay to enjoy such a terrific afternoon of artistic endeavors . Well done!

It was so amazing and beautiful. The 30 Americans exhibit was so amazing and really gives you so much insight. However super weird as my boyfriend and I were followed into every single room we went too… upon us entering she appeared not even a minute after. Hard to really enjoy the upper floor when someone is constantly walking around you and behind you.

Forcing masks to enter is wrong. Then giving my son a pride rainbow mask was worse. These policies will open the facility to lawsuits. My son was very uncomfortable and next time he will refuse.

A FANTASTIC MUSEUM. Honestly the best have been to. PLEASE go if you get the chance. The works are *** extraordinary. If you're an artist, or someone who appreciates the craft, YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. It's been a couple years since I've been, but I am itching to go back.

The place where GOOD ART dwells. It is a stately place. It is an eclectic place. It is an artful place. Thank you Columbia Museum for being the center of culture for the city of Columbia.

We came for the Russian Special Exhibit. By the Art it is obvious there was strife in the Country at that time. A wondeerful day trip for us. Thanks

The art here is simply wonderful. Please check it out for yourself. I really recommend coming here on the first Thursday of a month, as there may be free admission or street truck food vendors nearby, as there were when I came to the museum. Also, the staff here are caring and really knowledgable, willing to share their knowledge of and opinions on art. While the extent of the exhibits / art displayed is a bit limited (it's not a big museum), the exhibits are always hugely interesting and the art that's on rotation throughout the year is incredible and diverse. The museum is also in wonderful shape and private events are possible here, too. Just a really cool place with great art

Went there to hear The Dubber play music. We arrived early and the museum encouraged us to see the galleries, while we were waiting for the music to start. The main gallery was a large exhibit of mainly Russian artwork. As an art major and artist, I always learn something seeing historical art and photography. The exhibit was easy to follow, well laid out and educational. The CMA was neat, clean, with masked staff, that was helpful and cheerful. The Dubber played a collection of his biggest hits and the museum showed a video of The Dubber before the performance. A lovely evening at the CMA.

We happened to be there the first Thursday when admission was free, a bonus. I expected more from famous artists; however, the paintings and sculptures were beautiful nonetheless.

Beautiful small in town museum, with some lovely pieces. We enjoyed our visit and the special pieces on view - including the Venetian Glass Chandelier! Wish they had some small souvenir like pieces (magnets?) to take away.

I went specifically to see the M.C. Escher exhibit (amazing) but thoroughly enjoyed the permanent collection as well. The museum is open and airy and the lighting was great. Some beautiful works of art to be seen

Such a great place to spend time on a date or with family. The museum is always welcoming and has great events and classes. The Escher visit was stupendous. I was a bit disappointed that we had to make an appointment time and still had to wait in line, but the wait was well worth it.

Hate that this place will not allow for my autistic son to wear his mask below his nose. He is not contagious due to have contracted the virus and recovered well over a year ago. Don't bother going here. The hovering around of the guides detracts from the viewing experience, and made us regret wasting our time here.
