This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in! The place is beautiful and clean! The rooms are modern and well decorated. The room we stayed in had so many cool touches I was getting ideas for our own home! They have a ton of amenities the pool was nice and the pool area was clean and orderly and they have towels for you there. The work out room is right there and has a nice array of weights and equipment. I even noticed they had an office space with a computer and printer if you need it. The breakfast buffet is included and looked as beautiful as the pictures. my husband wasn’t feeling well so he was able to get gingerale and a yogurt parfait for breakfast. The breakfast and front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I also loved that they have a little pantry in the lobby if you want a bottle of wine or snack. In the morning the cleaning staff stopped by to ask if we needed anything which was very nice. They have thought of everything! I highly recommend this hotel and I hope we can come again soon! Definitely worth the 5 stars I gave them.Rooms: The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious with full kitchen and livingroomSafety: The hotel felt very safeFood & drinks: The Breakfast buffet was included and beautiful

Do not stay here. This was a WASTE of several hundred dollars per night. My fiancée and I paid for a suite which is $200 PER NIGHT and this room is disgusting. There was a literal build up of dust on the bed linen and other peoples hair allllll over the bed pillows which is absolutely vomit inducing enough. Never mind the BUGS that are crawling around in the room. The first night we saw one and killed and figured not a big deal, now I’ve had 2 more crawl on me in the freaking bed and one bit my hand. The water pressure in the bathroom is quite literally nonexistent, it basically falls out of the shower head. There is literally no pressure. This is the MOST GARBAGE hotel I have EVER stayed at and the most money I have ever paid. Front desk said they can’t do anything about it and we booked through a third party so no refund partial or otherwise. This “hotel” is a joke and it’s FILTHYDo not waste your money here it’s gross.

The shower water pressure was incredible. The room was clean bed gets a 3.5/5 but it's good for a hotel i just have some back issues. 5/5 would definitely come back security at main entrance made me feel super safe while traveling with everything i own.Safety: Security at main entranceNoteworthy details: The shower and water pressure

We were in town for a concert & specifically chose this hotel bc it advertised an indoor heated pool. We were originally told we could have a late checkout (reward members). Our plan was to hang out in the pool for a while before driving back. Was really anticipating a warm pool to offset the cold February temperatures! Again, my sole reason for choosing this hotel!Staff at checkin was nice but it would have been nice to know a few things upfront- like construction going on & the pool being broke. During our stay we made it our task to pick up random sharp screws left all around the property floors. Obviously its the construction crew that dropped them (which btw were not actively working while we were there, just lots of equipment, storage containers taking 1/3 of the parking and boxes everywhere in the lobby) but i feel like IF the halls were vacuumed properly, that would have been taking care of. On day 2 we learned that they're waiting on a part to fix the pool heater. Again, the pool why my #1 reason for choosing this hotel, as compared to comparable hotels that were cheaper but had outdoor pools. I would not have stayed here otherwise. Staff didnt care & said the water is lukewarm... it was ice cold and the thermostat in the pool room was locked on 72°. If you know that the water is freezing, bump up the temp in the room! Nonetheless, we had packed for swimming & took the polar plunge challenge. 10 miserable minutes. Got back to the room & our door cards didn't work- even though we had late checkout at 2pm (normally 12p). It was just passed noon & now having to deal with this, cold and wet. Now we're told that we have to leave by 1pm bc they're fully booked that night too. I understand. But, again, communication would have been nice. Overall, the staff was nice when you could find someone. The only time we seen someone at the front desk was when we checked in. I went a few times with questions but no one was there. I also tried calling down several times throughout our stay, no answer on each attempt except the last one. Normally hotel rooms have papers in the room to inform you of various things, ie: check in/out times, tv guide/channels, emergency exits, where to find things like ice, laundry, food reccomendations, a bible, etc. This room had nothing! Im pretty sure the exit map is a legal requirement. Not a complaint, just saying. Did see the "manager" making his rounds around the property shortly after checkin. He never introduced himself, but you could tell he was in charge by his dress & mannerism. He always smiled & said hello, appeared professional & seemed to care about his work.Room 507 was nice (top floor). Newly remodeled & stocked dishes for 3 people. Ice maker didn't work even. Room had 2 windows but 1 was missing the sheer curtains. There were SEVERAL trains that come by but they're only noticeable when sleeping. Beds were comfy. It had the longest sofa that I'd ever seen! The shower was cold on the first night, but hot the next day... which was great after the cold pool.LOVED the shower head & water pressure was great! Loved that they provide full sized toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, lotion, handsoap) instead of mini bottles. Labels said Dove, but it didn't smell like Dove. Still good though. The hairdryer was impressively strong. The location was good. Right off the exit and close to everything downtown. While there we visited the Colonial Life Center, Botanical Gardens. Riverbank Zoo and the River Walk Park, in addition to a few great restaurants. Everything within a quick drive. Due to heavy traffic and no red-light, it is rather difficult to make a left hand turn into the hotels driveway. For this particular visit, considering construction, lacking of adjacent parking due to construction and lack of advertised amenities. I feel that we over paid. Its typical for hotels to offer discounted rates when they know these things and should warn guests ahead of time. Having said that, assuming

I travel for work by far the worst Staybridge iv been to. food sucks most of the people in the kitchen have an attitude, and they save food for others. They literally run out of food every week early there’s trash everywhere outside the laundry room has rust on the washing machines and dryers. They’re always out of everything. I thought I was at a Days Inn. No running water my second day. The two young ladies that work the front desk are amazing and I appreciate their service i definitely will be taking pictures & calling corporate. Don’t waste your money if you have to stay for longer periods someone please pick up the cat food cans in the parking lotRooms: Nice size

I travel a lot and this is the worst experience by hotel management I have ever experienced. I checked on Dec 30-31 with the same Visa card I always use at all my hotel stays with no problem. On Jan 1 I went downstairs to extend one more day, the staff said ok and I was good. All money for the stays was immediately taken out my account even $50 deposit. Jan 2 I went downstairs to extend one more day the management told me I could not and I had to leave at 1pm if I didn't pay an additional $270 plus another day. I showed him the money was already taken out my account and he stated because I used my visa cash app card the funds was not received by the hotel yet. I explained that was not my problem they accepted my payment and I have never had an issue with any other hotel. As a matter of fact the same card is on file in my IHG account to use anytime I stay at their hotel. I refused to leave or pay more only then someone higher up came out back and told me I could stay and his staff wasn't properly trained on taking payments but I could not extend until I pay $270.00 and they would refund me once payment comes to them. Very UN acceptable!!!! I was embarrassed and felt harassed when I was out of over $400 and they wanted me to pay again!!! Be ware of this hotel Unprofessional management and untrained staff.

We had an issue with our stay BUT appreciate the girl at the front desk for handling it with grace.(I did not get her name but she had short blonde hair and worked in the morning on Saturday 30, 2023.)Thanks to the Management for addressing the issue accordingly.

Great location downtown. Check in was easy. Nice Christmas decorations up for the holidays. First room was 121 and could hear a screaming child as soon as we walked away from the front desk. Low and behold the screaming child was in room 119 next door. After about 10 minutes in the room…… the child got louder and the screaming didn’t stop. We were also directly at the end so next to the stairwell. I went back to the check in desk to request to be moved as I could see a restless night ahead. She did move us to 521 where we had a peaceful rest. Room 121 was decorated with white cabinets, etc. Room 521 had all wood cabinets. Both very nice and clean. Heat worked well as it was 31 degrees outside. Overall good stay. Front attendant could’ve been friendlier. Also, be aware of the comforts of your guests if you place them next to the screaming child you could hear from the front desk, inconsiderate at best.Rooms: Spacious, well equipped

Room had dirty dishes, the ice maker didn't work, and there was something sharp in the carpet I couldn't remove when I stepped out of bed. The breakfast food was not good. The front desk people are all staff I encountered were all very nice and helpful. The location is hard to get into and out of off of Huger St. The entire place is pretty rundown.

We had a large group staying for an event at the State House steps and I can not praise the staff and Shelly enough! The rooms were clean, staff attentive and Shelly went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect. Our group raved about the comfortable beds and cleanliness of the establishment. I would definitely recommend Staybridge Suites for your stay in Columbia.

The hotel is wonderful. The suites are comfortable and nice. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking gets packed fast so get there early. So to make everyone aware it can be really hard to get into the parking lot. You have to pass over an active highway road. Depending on the time of day it can be really hard. Other than that I would have given it all five stars.

We were in and out pretty quickly so we didn't use a lot of the amenities (pool, gym, etc.). Our room was a spacious suite with 2 full beds and a pull out couch in the living room. The kitchen had a 2 burner stove and a full size refrigerator. It was well stocked with utensils, dishes, etc. The beds were very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. Check in/out was a breeze using the app.The complimentary breakfast was what you would expect. Decent quality, great variety. There was a yogurt bar, hot breakfast (omelette, sausage, casserole), muffins, cereal and fruit. The hotel does seem a bit dated but was clean! We would consider staying here again when in town.

First room smelled like previous guests smoked in it. Front desk manager Brandon did a great job of addressing concern and quickly upgraded us to a larger room. Hotel is one of the best in area that we found. Great location and lots of options for breakfast. Staff was all wonderful. Thanks again Brandon!!
